  1. PANEL the first thing repaired were the rust in the guards, dint in rear passanger side quater, other small dints, the hole in the back corner quarter and the damage down the passander side from some one in a wollongong carpark. red indicates drivers side yellow indicates passanger side
  2. This is my corolla when when i first got it. it has (at this stage) standard 4k engine standard 3 speed auto original everything else even a 8 track cassett player i added the jellybean rims the day after i brought it

  5. Name: Shaun Car: KE55 6/1979 Motor & Driveline: SR20DE mounted to gearbox from a Nissan serina to modified tail shaft to standard rear axle. Suspension & Brakes: sports rider springs, Monroe Gt gas strut inserts, AU ford falcon rotors and calipers, custom hub and custom stud pattern to fit KE55 front strut assembly, Wheels & Tyres: Advanti 17in Flash 2 rims painted centers fitted with Maxxis 215/40 Z R17. Interior: new carpet, new trim on seats, doors, dash, boot, partial shelf. New steering wheel. Updated dash to full digital. Body: full respray of body in LG01 (lambo color (YELLOW) in PPG paint system), it is a there layer pearl with one coat of prizmatique. under bonnet and boot painted in black. Other:
  6. my kexx wagon had this type of issue i swaped out the neddle and seat (std carby thoe) new pump plugs and leads, only to find that it was the capacitor below hope it helps
  7. paint stripper is an option however this may burn the metals on the rim. sandpaper and a carefull hand would be your safest bet mask up anything u don't want to hit, prime than paint don't use to corse paper thoe u don't want to scratch the metal to bad otherwise this will show threw your topcoat however some picks would give us a better idea of what your asking for
  8. if the battery is stuffed there usualy is a black residue on the inside of the fillercaps on the battery. however check ur terminals for corosion and work down the line earths, fuses, conections, check anything thats been fitted recently headunit wiring and the like.

  10. sweet ke55 i got same model with sr20 conversion also read page with advanti five spokes what diamater are they I'm looking for 15in rims. engineer wont pass my 17in ones

  12. Three peice exhaust joins at bottom of manifold/ at bothsides of cat/ and before the diff/ put in new head unit my wiring from unit to my specal wiring loom no more fires inside the car from walking soldering irons all the lights now blue no more green head unit

  16. Worried about leaving my 2 door KE55 overnight at a local exhaust workshop.

  17. being a painter i get blokes from the welding shed send apprentices up to get a can of overspray, Then there is vasoline on all the door handles. makes them hard to use when you have got gloves on, taping the filters on the masks so the warer can only breath out, glue all the aprentices belongings to the celing, cover a car in washabe booth coating then paint it red, washes of with a pressure washer see. The owner freaked we had a good laugh thoe, match head in a cigerette he nearly shit him self when it went up and the list goes on.
  18. JMD 55 hit it on the head ive had a really small budget from day one. SR20DE I'm fairly skilled with the tools and still hit well over 8,000 and havent got a turbo. Still have to convince an engineer to say yes which could cost 1000 anyways. If it dosent work out at least you gave it a go.

  20. strip it, media blast it, soda blast it, sand it. :blush: don't sit there and scrape at it with a damn razor blade thats somthing a work experiance kid would do... :hmm: people and there strange ideas. if its been painted its been done to hide somthing strip it and start with a bare shell.

  23. unscrew the antanna from the body check the screws for rust. clean or replace up u you. or alternitively you can buy a small device that wires into the head units wiring i think its called a noise supressor. :P
  24. have you tryed another dash clustor. worth a try.
