i had 2x ke30s before and the clocks were running fine, i think it has some sort of setting on the back of the clock to set it go faster or slower if i'm not wrong :yes:

now that i'm looking for a car (a corolla to be specific lol) i've been browsing to the tradingpost.com.au website quite often in the last 2-3 weeks. and i also bought a copy of the paper today. but guess what? i called to 5 people there today that was advertising their car, and they're all SOLD! is it because the corollas are so good that everyone got no trouble at all at selling? (at a reasonable price of course hehe) or is it just my bad luck? :yes: and also i don't see any corollas made before 1980 going to sale anywhere. how come? oh and i live in melbourne so i always set the state to VIC.. any opinion guys? deri (off-topic: why does my group on the left says i'm a "member" while everyone else is "verified member"?? someone?)

i'd go with the ae92 if it's a hatch lol. IMO, if you go to sydney to look for a GTi it would cost you some more money yeah? i'd rather use that money to get a stereo system or lower suspension or exhaust system :jamie: but again it depends on what you want and the condition of the car. deri

i saw it too! thats a nice car, 2 door sedan+pillarless doors.. why can't they use another car? as the car looks to be in fair condition, i wouldnt mind getting one of those. lol. but maybe there are lots of similar 2-door shovelnoses in the US in the same condition as this yeah?

well.. my achievement on a corolla is simple: i learned to drive in a crappy honda civic '82 and after that i got my first ke30, and the car was so reliable and fun to drive! not to mention the economical petrol (i was a high school student back then hehe). the ke30 was in soo much better condition than the civic. the ke30 got me to many places and rarely let me down. i know this isn't much for you all but for me, it was an achievement! i even got a ke20 and another ke30 after that! :) deri

good names there people! i named my corollas by their color, "si biru" (means blue in english) for my first ke30 and "si ijo" (green in english) for the 2nd ke30. but for my ke20 i called it '73, stands for the year it was made hehe :). those were corollas i had in my country though.. deri

just to add, the 5k engines came in 80's toyota kijang (or toyota unser in malaysia) in indonesia, with body code KFxx.. same with the 7k engines, they're in the 90's toyota kijang.. :wink:
