  13. our workshop got 30 people but the gearbox KING (rebuilding diffs and gearboxs for 30 years) isnt here this month :) i got it all 90% stripped but the 3rd gear selector shaft wont come back all the way so i can take out the fork. spring and ball bearing retainers are out and the other one on the side of the gearbox I'm stumpd :y:
  14. thanks taz_rx cleared up alot of my questions i used to work a bmw it was from a 3L twin turbo (the one that gets 400nm at 1100rpm) one turbo = 1.5L if i could get a efi manifold and a wolf 3rd ecu, it would so much easier to work with AFR and i could run a intercooler with the spacer will you have to run 2 head gaskets? one on each side of the spacer? (the turbo is also coolant cooled :y:) thanks again tax_rx bloody legend

  22. i took it to a gearbox place they said it should come off, i had to remove the gearset (peice of piss) and there was a huge circlip holding the bearing to the housing, luckyyyy i insisted to change the input oilseal . unpon inspection the front bearing was SHOT lucky i didnt give up or it would of had a HUGE whine to in it :)
  23. andrew. they are surpose to be worn unevenly (thats drums for yah) as the piston move out bottom of the shoes grabs (check figure 5) http://auto.howstuffworks.com/auto-parts/brakes/brake-types/drum-brake1.htm diagnose the problem, don't replace all the componets and hoping it fixes the problem (lights don't work, replace lights, still don't work, check whole wiring loom, find nothing, and your mate asks "did you check the fuse?" and there you know it fuse is blown)
