yeah.....basically if you wanna convert to solids you find a chev solid lifter that is the same diametre and length.... then use the 4K rocker gear for adjustment. and Datsun A12 pushrods..... simple really

i have always been weary of storms and the damage they can cause...sure i feel sorry for the people that get caught out in them.....especially if they have paintjobs that cost more than my whole car. it all comes down to common sense.....find somewhere under shelter weather it be a tin awning or a shop front that has a roof over it......i would jump gutters to get to undercover parking if i knew there was hail coming.....you see my insurance doesnt cover thing like that cause its only 3rd party.....where as someone that has an $80,000 landcrusier will most likely have full comp... hail is only really damaging when it is fairly big.....like the other day....small hail will dent but it has to be going at a fair rate of knots. as i was saying to matt before the storm hit.....i have never been caught in a hailstorm that i have had to get out of...i've always had my car undercover before the storm hits.....which is why i wanted to go to morayfield shopping centre......we just didnt get there in time.....we had to find something else. and yes i think we were pretty bloody lucky.....cause that awning wasnt real big.

if they were smart enough they would have packed up and got their cars undercover like matt and i did BEFORE the storm hit....not DURING.....its too late then.

it would have to be either T40 or T50 box......wouldnt it?....to be behind a 4agze......HIGHLY unlikely that it would be a K50 or K40.... may be W50........but prolly not.

$1500 should get you somewhere.....and with you being in a toyota dealership you shouldnt have too much trouble sorcing parts....lol read up on my conversion........the 4k head would prolly be better than my head. theres not much difference from 4k to 5k anyway.....and you can only take the bore out to 81mm......which is what mine is.

mr hardware: your manual may be wrong mate......or you have a different 55. proof: out of this manual. i have gone to extremes to show you this.....cause A. i know that i have a 50L tank B. i know that nearly EVERY KE55 i have looked at has a 50L tank. C. Manuals may be wrong...... so yours must be a different again...... this just shows that there may be more than one size fuel tank in ke55's sorry if you have taken this the wrong way.....i'm only trying to help

this storm was f@$king WEIRD!.......it wasnt green at all.....no warning of hail at all until you could hear it coming and hitting stuff on the way....... the biggest hail stones i've ever seen......most of the first ones were like softball size.......DAMN BIG!.......i thought the bloody tin awning we were under was going to collapse.....it was only really a car width wide as well.....and i almost got clobbered by a hail stone as big as my fist......lucky i wasnt underneath it.

and again.....mine doesnt have the rear sway bar mounts to the body....its only got them on the diff itself....not actually any holes in the body to bolt the brackets too....weird.
