  2. would 5k with 4k/3k head raise comp? i also got a single solex from a 2tg here wonder if thatl work.. i just remember the last Ke10 i had when it was standard it was poo.. and i can't do that again.

Hey, I'm getting another ke10.. i currently own a rotor ke11 but i want to build more of a daily ke10.. just wondering some peoples opinions of getting some decent hp from a k? and what model K would be best suited.. i don't know if i should supercharge or turbo and just run low boost or maybe a tough little motor.. is gonna be on a low budget and doesnt need to be a race car, just a bit of fun.. cheers.

  8. Hey i bought some struts from a ke20 which have k-mac adj strut tops, custom springs and some disks on them.. is it possible to bolt these in? or is it just worth changing over the disks onto the ke11? cheers.
  9. looking at a brake upgrade which came from a ke20 and want to put the struts into the ke11.. can this be done of do i need the whole ke20 front end. cheers, should be an easy question just trying to search for the answer got confusing. Mat

    saw a really nice original looking green ke10/11 today at around 4:15 turning off grand junction road onto main north.. if your on this forum nice ke... if you notice the guy in the red wrx drooling over it that was me :)

Yeah like the others said, it doesnt like to go around corners if your carrying too much speed.. you can get heavier springs for the front end to compensate for the extra weight and they make it handle better that a stocky. We havent blown any transmissions yet as we have found that using good trans fluid and a big cooler seem to keep things happy. We had to lock the diff, which holds up fine but now we have a problem snapping axles all the time. all in all its an awesome fun car to drive and people can stop laughing when they get out of it. The torque of the v6 and its revy nature make it quite twitchy to drive and its quite possible to light up both the rears at 60kph by stepping on the throttle. If your planning on driving it on the streets get some decent wheels and rubber, h/d lowered front springs (ours were a custom job) a hd sway bar, lower the rear and get a decent diff cut down and fit and it will be hard to wipe the smile off ya face.
  13. We have done it, ecotec v6 into a ke70, the conversion isnt that hard to do if you have a bit of mechanical knowledge. The sump fits between the x-member and swaybar. custom mounts and gearbox crossmember need to be made, as do custom extractors and tail shaft. easy peazy... were also building a v8 one aswell :)

  20. yeah that is true.. but my car definately needs some work donee. just wish i had the cash... anyone got some disk brakes for a ke1* they would be willing to seperate with cheaply? i still got 4 wheel drums .... that is the main reason why its not going fast anytime soon..
  21. yeah, oneday when i register it again hopefully there is a cruise on.. Its not a show car or anything.. but its neat and fun.. i don't register it all the time because its not exactly the best daily.
  22. yeah would kill for a webber but i don't exactly have a high paying job.. and having a mortgage means i have to look for a cheap cheap one oneday.. it runs fine with the shitty standard carb... just wont rev as high as it probably should.. its not a race car anyways just more of a fun cruiser that gets up and goes... :jamie:

  24. haha I'm glad it didnt sell when i tried.. pretty sure i was selling it to cheap.. and its to fun to get rid of.. if only both were registered at same time.. my rolla was un registered for about 3 or so years before the sar cruise... i never really bothered with it.. but now i want it on the road all the time, pretty sure your 20 would be kinda funny how stupidly fast or out of control it would be! :no2:
