WGMG: Taking a week off work (a well deserved one) and being called in on a Friday. Not as bad as last time when I got called back in on a Wednesday. I got 4 days off this time instead of 2. I better get a carton, of Peroni's.

Ok so its done and back together. My first compressor job. Came out alright. Need to repaint the bumpers too. That straight front bumper makes a big difference. Fresh stockings on the tail lights :dance: Needs more dish. Now I suppose I should stick the 32/36 on.

Flat black makes it harder for Iraqi fighter jets to lock on. I'm thinking practical anti-terrorism here... :dance:

Found my manual, the picture of the flasher unit is hanging down in the drivers foot well so it should be close to the fuse box. Best I can do no other info in there.

don't use cheap spray cans like mine. It looks good for a few months then fades to shit. You can achieve an ok look with cans but you need a good technique, a lot of patience and it can cost a lot as decent paint in a can isn't cheap. At the moment I'm painting mine with GMH matt which cost 47 bucks for 4 litres and a compressor (cheap cans cost me almost 150). There are plenty of ways to do it on the cheap but it all depends on the end result you desire. Me, I want rangi matt black so it's always gonna be a cheap paint job.

Started painting but made the mistake of the compressor I'm using being far too small for the job. So it's tedious and turning out...well... I'm hoping after a wet sand it'll all even out. And yeah having no room in my garage is awesome too. I didn't really think this through. Live, you learn. Fingers crossed it turns out alright. Yeah its tiny but the wheels are falling off and its leaking. And its basicly new. Not mine, but the only one I could get hold of. Just needed to have a whine its been shitting me all day. A paint job that should take a day might take 2 or 3. WGMG : Myself not having the right gear.

WGMG: Supercheap compressors. Run out of puff after about 15 seconds of painting. This is gonna be tedious.

Did you take the big nut off the middle? The screws on the back let you get to the horn assembly and that's it. If its similar to a ksev there should be a large nut behind the plastic toyota emblem in the middle of the wheel..
