  1. Customers who come into your workplace, cock you around by asking stupid questions like do you sell cat food ( i work in a hardware store) i need a thing, you know a thing I'm looking for a power tool i don't have enough money can you half the price. customer ( are you closed) me ( yes we closed 10 minutes ago) customer ( ok i won't be long just need to get a few things) i get worse but to keep this post mild i won't mention them. anybody else gets this or worse.
  2. started getting into Dubstep started getting tracks to sample a few different audio setups in my mates car's some of it is crap but other tracks just pump so hard and give you that feeling of audio bliss anyone else listening to some filthy beats ;) Harry
  3. righto I have been working 5-7 days a week for the past 6 months or so i am saving to go to europe for a few months and to build up my wagon properly. so far the suspension is done, so is the brakes, i am porting the head. cam is coming soon. not going to be a big build but a fun one. with the decent amount of boot space i am going to build it into a sound wagon. ( I'm a bit of a sound nut) twin subs, two 6x9's two 6x5's twin subs soundstream amp all in my custom speaker box nice head unit and 4 inch alpines in the door car is getting resprayed for around 3500-4000 dollars and might run rolled or widened guards if i can be bothered. this would be to run 8.5 inch ssr mesh rims with alot of dish. i will be installing some really nice recaro seats of an early alfa romeo gtv 2l with custom rails that i will fabricate. these are my plans so far does anyone have any opinions or anything that would make this build better not after criticism, just a general opinion thanks in advance Harry
  4. haha i can't remember mate, i got it a while ago.

  5. 1jz cressida not a corolla but it will do the trick. :)
  6. Looks the goods :) mmmmmmm
  7. @ philbey, i was actually talking about the weber's not the dellorto's i have personal experience with both carbies. if you want to keep the price down get a pair of 40mm dellorto's of an early alfa the older ones don't have emission control jet it down to suit the k motor and get a manifold more than enough fuel for any k motor to work with and you wont have to fiddle with it and it will work well throughout the rev range.
  8. find a second hand mildly worked or turbocharged 4ac and put that it some come up pretty cheap just wait for a good one to come up
  9. good carbies, some like the 40's don't hold a tune all that well, not a problem if you know how to tune them :) 32/36's are a great carb but as said above cannot be used to full potential without adequate mods. i personally prefer dellorto for street use but i don't want to start a weber vs dellorto war. :)
  10. haven't installed as yet porting is hand done and am using a 2001 4afe manifold or will have one made up from one of my fabricator mates. if you are going to try porting be prepared for it to take hours and hours and acid dip or clean in a bath of degreaser before going ahead makes life alot easier. if you are able to go turbo do so i cannot because of the new rules but will be going turbo in the future so i am leaving the block stock for the time being and working the head to be effective as both a n/a and a forced induction head thus the cam is mild .8 mm copper head gasket to slightly raise comp. it is a work in process but when it is done i will post the whole build where to get parts and how to install them etc and a dyno sheet showing results best of luck with it mate. Harry
  11. i have ported my 4afe head, have a cam lined up am fitting 4age valve springs possibly itb's and a haltech ecu i am only bothering with the head for now only reason i can afford this is because i am doing 90 percent of the work myself. so the costs are low if you can't do much of the work yourself don't even bother. you will have an engine that will end up costing more than having a 4age installed tuned and mildly modified. pm me if you need more info on my build.
  12. I have read up on what to do spent 6 hours on the one port. still not done will post update pictures. cam is coming soon will post pics of that installed.
  13. Hey fellow rollaclubers. my friend and i started porting a cylinder head for the first time using tips sourced off the net and in books. so far we have only done one port as per picture bellow. does anybody have any tips they can share, any methods that worked best for them. i just wanted to hear people opinion on porting and if they think it is worthwhile of the hours and hours it takes.
  14. People who nag and nag and nag and then nag some more. and then when you tell them to shut up you get your head ripped off.
  15. I'm pretty sure it has 6 bolts i may be wrong anybody else correct me if i am.
  16. check out the pics of my car, i have 15's of these atm. i had some 14's bathurst globes on before that. ive played around 15's look great when the car is lowered can fit 16's but then it gets a bit touchy. post a pic of the rims you have atm if you can.
  17. fit kyb shocks and harder king or similar springs that with new bushes makes a world of difference if you want height king springs make larger springs or you can get lowered ones like mine. i fitted a subaru brumby bullbar and it fitted perfectly and actually looked good, i used the original mounts and fabricated them to suit the corolla. i also fitted 15 inch rims as they fit real nice and give better stability see if you can fit larger tyres for better grip in the dirt. regards.
  18. thanks trev i will measure up and find out when i have time. is the 4afe crank 40 or 42
  19. I have a bit of a technical question how would i go using the early 18mm bigport 4age pistons and using the 4agze rods in a 4afe block i have done some measurements but just want to put the idea out there to see if there is anybody who would see some flaws or possible technical hurdles. Harry
  20. jizz.
  21. I don't think anybody has done this before but here goes. i have a 4afe head that is getting ported etc and a nice 272 degree cam is going in my mate has alot of weber and dellorto carbs i was thinking twin dellorto 40's i can get a manifold from south africa for around the 100-120 mark i have measured and it will fit in the bay ...... but will be tight i can tune the carbs and upkeep on them is the easy part what would i also need to get this to work as i understand that the computer probably controls i can buy welsh plugs easy that will fit any suggestions sorry for rambling on fellas
  22. That is Horrible mate best of luck finding it regards Harry
  23. if u want a cheaper option i still have my old shocks and springs lying around they are still pretty strong if u want them where are you located mate
  24. dba rotors and new ferrodo pads kyb shockers all round they are pretty cheap and are easy to fit springs kings make them for an ae95 or you can order custom ones to any height for a few extra bucks mine is lowered it would be best to replace your bushes as well i didn't because i will be upgrading my system in a few months i havent researched but i am guessing you can fit some ae92 brakes or ae86 might be wrong if so somebody correct me all up suspension and breaks took me a whole afternoon I will post some pictures when i get some time to do so regards Harry
