  1. I have worked on engines most of my life just not toyota engines you can't really get much more simpler than a k series but i have worked on many single over head cam engines mostly old Gemini's, Datsun's, and a rather oily and ancient Hit and miss engine from god knows when. i am only 18 but i know alot more about old engines than some of the mechanics that are only trained to plug into a diagnostics port. regards
  2. ive dishonered the rolla name and must be shamed :( ive only ever worked on one and don't know too much about them Harry
  3. sucks to do all that work and only to have the timing belt snap may as well change it
  4. supercharged and worked 5k might do it will defiantly have the torque weber 32/36 or go all out and use a 48 weber or dellorto cam pistons valves springs timing belt sc12 or sc14 supercharger like the picture if you can get the parts cheap and have mechanical knowledge would be great to do but don't expect fantastic or huge h.p but it should slide well if you know what you are doing
  5. the little spring pin's people have said they are not necessary but i think i have lost a few other parts as well like clips etc
  6. Alfa engines are great, me and my mate have many spare parts for the Alfetta, alfa 75 and junior 1750's yes if you are good at fabrication it would be a great swap alfa engines when worked produce massive power for engines developed in the 30's and 40's my friend is currently getting parts together to build a turbo charged 1.8 to go in his alfa romeo junior will be getting 300+ hp with little boost and only mildly worked if you need any info or want to know were to get parts oh and it look's like a 4age because the 4age is a really good copy of a cosworth, which drew on idea's from the alfa twin cam design. p.m me if u need info on anything rust is really what gives these cars there bad image, that and the lack of parts knowledge about how to take care of them in Australia. regards Harry

  11. I have an ae95 and i seem to have lost some crucial parts of the brake assembly like clips etc I'm guessing ae92 brakes fit an ae95 and are the same i can get some brakes from wreckers but ae95 ones are harder to find so i thought i may as well just get ae92 ones if they fit am i right or wrong any i info would be great Harry

UPDATE suspension is done kyb shocks all round lowered on kings sits about 3-4 inches lower looks wicked and still legal new front discs pads gonna get painted soon what colours do u think mettalic blue a bit darker than the colour now rosso ferrari red or mettalic black with flared arches engine is going to get built for a tad more power not much tho no need to go 4age or 4agze just port polish will prob do myself 272 cam 4age valve springs 4age bigport crank flywheel and rods and aftermarket ecu or twin 40mm webers or dellorto carbs on manifold from south africa and linkage kit what you think guys regards Harry
  15. mate i love it, it would be great on the beach ( i secretly have a little things for golfs)
  16. how much should it cost for just a basic job Bullet cylinder heads wants 1200 bucks and 500-600 for "general machining"
  17. i don't like the look of the ke70 either but for a thrash car that you and your mates can take shooting or for drift practice they are perfect and bulletproof rev them all day and if something explodes its relatively easy to fix but i do agree most ke70's are DANGEROUS as most arnt nanna spec anymore but with chopped springs welded diff, more bog than metal etc
  18. yeah i got a subaru bullbar off a brumby it fits well will custom fit it with mounts etc
  19. my home made whipper snipper bike engine 2.4 kg with full fuel got me from Mitcham to Aldinga on one tank at 40kph not bad for a tiny little ported 32cc engine
  20. Its a real pity because it makes alot of people i know not want to get one because they will get branded as a "Hoon" it used to be vk commodores or any commodore actually that used to get picked on but now it seems the ke's get hammered i see more defected in a driveway than driving around
  21. What places do you guys go to for cylinder head porting in adelaide good places bad places any good reviews??? Thanks Harry
  22. would this pass regency if i brought it into s.a?
  23. and what psi was the car on 20-30 psi thats were he gets the power from
  24. 6 grand could get you alot of power but n/a it would be limited to about 200rwhp if u forged everything and spent the whole 6 grand not a lot of power sr20's make all there power on boost why a sr20 there are much better engines around that are a bit more reliable
