That series mazda had the tailpipe and muffler on the right... this seems to be on the left so I'm still voting rolla

 

also the mazdas had a deeper and more pronounced ridge under the windows which rose slightly at the front of the doors underneath the mirrors

 

also the fuel door is on the wrong side and the guttering doesn't extend to the back of the roof.

 

even if it was a later model mazda than this one there'd be a blanking plate over where the passenger side mirror would be as no 323/familia had mirrors on the doors.

Yeah sort looks like a leone.

Looks like some overseas version of a KE70 to me, and those number plate lights could have been put on by any person at any point in the last 20 years, maybe the bumper bar one got smashed, so they grabbed the first thing they found so it still had number plate lights.

 

But I think it's definately a corolla

Its a Ke70. Well, not really. Its an Ae70. Its an SE model, a late one i think. 3AU motor.

 

need to double check if it is the SE, which I'm 80% sure off; only things that putting me off is the plastic grill on the C pillar, aposed to the little grill which isnt there. I think this is a late model one.

look at the big gay stripe above the rear window its the same as the ford...

the front gaurd gave it away as corolla.

I too still believe that its a Mazda. The vent down the back window is similar to what the Mazda's had. Corolla's had theirs in the middle of the pillar until the AE92 i beleive. I don't beleive that Toyota would have changed it just for one car.

 

Plus the qtr window in that door isn't the same size as a KE70's but the same as a Mazda's.

It's not anything like a Mazda really, everything is on the wrong side to be mazda, and if you have a look, the mazda door is shaped around the wheel arch and folds out with the wheel arch, the white COROLLA's door is nowhere near the wheel arch.

Theres a few things that don't sit right for the KE70 camp either! I'll hammer this one out with Teddy when he gets home.
