Jono Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) hey all, my car should be on the dyno getting its haltech tuned this afternoon. anyone care to see who gets closest to guess its output? i'll go first - hoping for anything above 65rwkw's. all thats different to standard is extractors, 2.5" exhaust, k&n filter, haltech with quad coil ignition. i'll scan in the dyno sheet later if it gets done today. Taz_Rx Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 I'll have a stab at 63rwkw just for fun. :P my 4k made 69.7rwkw!! Quote
ancullen Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) 73kW. My 4A-GZE made 87rwkW with a Microtech MT8, extractors & 2.5" exhaust, and cheap pod filter. Edited June 7, 2007 by ancullen Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) Sounds like a sweet ride, although dynos are quite variable, my guess is at 68hp. Sorry 68kw, my bad. Edited June 7, 2007 by oh what a nissan feeling! Quote
aidaniel[RL] Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) i'll go 67rwkw for the hell of it btw nissan feeling .75kw=1hp Edited June 7, 2007 by aidaniel Quote
Jono Posted June 7, 2007 Author Report Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) :P bummer, its lower than all expected...but Si was closest. the graph says its a 6 cylinder which isn't true obviously. and i don't understand the motive force bizo. Edited June 7, 2007 by JC807 Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 56.1kw + ke20 = lots of fun! Quote
Jono Posted June 7, 2007 Author Report Posted June 7, 2007 yeah, seems to have heaps more torque just not the power i expected. nevertheless its still very nice to drive. Quote
Corolla_Kid Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 It will be interesting to compare my 5k power figure with that once i have it dyno tuned in a month or so. But either way thats some nice power for a little ke20. Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 Thats not a bad number mate. Many dynos are jacked to keep the customers happy. So thats probly fair and fine. Love the torque though. What do those things weigh? Must be a smile machine. Quote
Jono Posted June 7, 2007 Author Report Posted June 7, 2007 It was done on a dynolog dyno, which generally reads the true HP. whereas a DynoDynamics generally read a bit higher. so i've read... yeah, it gives me smiles everytime i drive it. Quote
AlexK Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Is it a Bluetop or redtop? Seems low by all accounts. I have a Bluetop in my S600 running std ECU with home-made extractors driving the Rear wheels and I get 68kw at the wheels. something not quite right - hope you get it sorted. Quote
ancullen Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 It says smallport 4A-GE in the title, so redtop I would presume. Still, 56.1kW at the wheels is roughly 80kW at the engine, so even with a bigport that power figure would be a bit low, although engines do lose a bit of power over time through wear and tear. Quote
