corolla_nut Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 (edited) ^^^^^ Don't let him speak to you like that! Tell him to get stuffed. You don't need to go to uni to have a good life, besides, most people who go there get on the turps every night and basically flunk their exams (very broad generalisation peoples). Do what YOU want do in your life and you will be happy, hopefully everyone else will be happy for you that you enjoy what you are doing. EDIT: Dammit, it just flipped over to the next page, in case you can't tell I was trying to reply to Lexxi's post... Edited March 10, 2009 by corolla_nut Quote
7shades Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 I'm a highschool dropout, and I'm doing well enough to retire in 5 years... (35) The only thing a uni degree qualifies you for is a guaranteed career. (The word "career" being derived from the ancient roman word for "rut") WGMG: Man Colds. I has one. Quote
love ke70 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 engineering sucks the major balls. too much save the environment and maths. i dropped out of uni degree after getting an OP2, and went into a trade. now a 3rd year carpenter and love it, and can't wait to have the headaches of working for myself :D if uni isnt what you wanna do, don't do it. my missus is going, but i still think its for those who don't really know what they wanna do, and are just afraid to admit they want some time to learn about the world and discover themselves before commiting alot of time and money into something. towe001 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 WGMG is my boyfriend constantly telling me I'm gonna have no life and calling me a "stupid worthless piece of shit" because I don't want to go to uni and do engineering and I don't do specialist maths. Yeah so ? And his point being ? His point is most likely that he's realizing that he's a worthless piece of.... and he's taking it out on you You should stand up to him and tell him either cut the crap if he really wants to be with you or phuck off cause you don't need the crap. WGMG - "dig about" Dave - he who thinks he's the supervisor, doesn't have to listen to anybody, cbf about returning a "Mornin, how is ya?". Today almost gave him a slap to the back of the head cause he was telling the super that his way was the correct way and only way of checking off bags of render rock (type of cement). Normally i'm a peaceful, caring, easy to get on with, thick skinned, who'll give a friendly jab type of guy but "dig about" is really starting to get on my nerves Quote
Johno Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Living in a house with two related males grinds my gears. What is so hard about changing the frigging toilet roll when it's finished. Instead of taking it off the thing and putting a new one on they just get out a new one and put it top of the empty one. WTF? I don't care about toilet seats left being up, I mean they have to lift it after I've used it, so I don't mind if I have to put it down again, but the toilet rolls!!!!!!!!!!! And they leave empty containers and off milk bottles in the fridge. Word to the wise, don't let your boyfriend's brother live with you... Your boyfriend's bad habits might not annoy you but those same bad habits in his brother will. :D I know where your coming from. I rented a house with my gf and i had my brother live with us too. My gf couldn't stand it coz he always left the toilet seat up. I would be working and me gf would be doing house work and my brother would sleep all day then wake up at 4:30 and say whats for dinner after she did his washing which he should have done. WGMG is a guy at work. I was in one of those site toilets havin a crap and this guy throws a metal drum at the toilet. Scare's the crap out of me (literally) but i knew it was just a joke and laughed about it and said f**ing prick! Whatever, it was a joke. I saw him go in the toilet today so i did the same back to him and he had the sooks all day. don't dish it out if you can't eat it. Quote
orangeLJ Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 WGMG is my boyfriend constantly telling me I'm gonna have no life and calling me a "stupid worthless piece of shit" because I don't want to go to uni and do engineering and I don't do specialist maths. And also the fact that my mother has finally decided to act like a mother. Now she's just annoying. I liked it better before. I might be wrong, but it sounds like a classic case of emotional abuse in the making. Generally its their of making you feel worthless enough that you stay with them even though they are the worthless individual (of piece of shit, whichever tickles your fancy) It usually comes from their own personal doubts and flaws. I'm in my third year at uni, I chose to go because it was going to help with the career path I had chosen, so it swings both ways. I know people who are dumb as shit carters horses and still go on to make something decent of themselves and I know others who are the opposite (ie. uni graduates who go on to prison sentences and become the dregs of society) University, brains and success don't always go hand in hand, it comes down to the person. You seem like a pretty smart girl Lexxi and someone that wouldnt take too much crap. If he keeps on, give him an upper cut and tell him to get over himself. You will find what you want to do eventually, and I'm sure if you really want to be, you will be successful. thats the end of my motivational piece! :D WGMG is a blackout at 6.30 in the morning in the middle of getting ready to go to work (in the dark) then having it come back on just before you are ready to leave meaning Karlie had to do her hair and makeup which meant we left late which meant (as usual) every slow driving prick was in the way on the road to work! ARRRRRGGGGH! Quote
Lexxi[ke35] Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Thanks guys, I know it sounds like he's this heaps horrible person, but he's not always that bad. But yeah, I'm taking all of your advice on board :D WGMG is sitting opposite some guy on the train, somehow ending up crossing at the same set of lights, walking just behind him down Rundle mall and ending up following him to the same food court because he's getting breakfast and I'm meeting someone, with him looking over his shoulder the entire way coz he thinks I'm stalking him. Oh, and then the person I'm meeting getting breakfast at the same place and lining up behind him. How awkward. Quote

Pretty sure that anyone that really loves you shouldnt be calling you a "worthless piece of shit" You are clearly way better than that so you should just laugh in his face! Is he just jelous that he knows you will actually do well at Uni, whereas he is as dumb as a turd and is embarassed about it?? You do what you want to do with your life :) Quote

So your the bloke the cops have been looking for :) Today is going really really slow. I just want it to end, so I can go home and play silly buggers in the new house! Quote
dfunkt Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 yupyup, i'm also the bloke who walks thru major carparks with keys in hand like i'm heading to my car, watching those looking for carparks driving slowly so they can take my spot when i leave.........except i walk to the staircase for the next level and then go back into the shops to do it again :) and i'm with you on the slow day front, altho i've been flat out and just want to leave to see Uncle Chop-Chop on the drive-in screen!! ROFL!!!! :) :( :( I'm so gonna do that one day. WGMG: Me!!! I have no motivation lately and it's just so irritating, I just want to snap out of it. And dickheads who drive around with their lights on high beam and their fog lights on in town, even worse, people who don't even have their lights on. And they're all completely oblivious! Dude, if someone flashes their lights at me half a gazillion times, the first thing I check are my lights and indicators, and after that for cops.. Quote
SLO-030 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Yea, people that drive behind me with their High beams on. Like tonight on the way back from Lucs, I had some POS magna sitting behind me with one light only on parkers and the other on High beam. Quote
JiP Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Sometimes if one light is out the other appears brighter. Quote
corolla_nut Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 No, both these were bright! So irritating! WGMG new RTA laws. Has anyone heard of this new motorcycle P's for 3 years, same as cars? I think it's only in NSW. So glad I've got my fulls in both car and bike now, but I'm so broke I can't even afford a bike :) Quote
