philbey Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 Wgmg.... The damn caps on spraycans. Damn things are so bloody tight. The stupid screwdriver bit just tears open, and when you wrench it off by hand you run the risk of tearing the bloody nozzle out... Threw out a full can of etch primer the other day as a result.... towe001 Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 Cut the cap off ? I've done that a few times. Quote

Threw out a full can of etch primer the other day as a result.... haha been there done that. i bought some quite expensive spray paint ($36 for primer and paint), couldng get the damn cap off the black paint, so i got fed up and hit it on the edge of my bench. Snapped the nozzle off right at the top of the can. I still have it i have used a screw driver to get some paint out, then painted it on with a small brush. Man I'm cheap. Quote

When you find something like that in a Google search, click on the green drop arrow next to the link (if it's there) and open the Cached version - Google has log-ins to a lot of forums. You won't be able to navigate any further without a login, but if you search judiciously enough then you can get enough info. Quote
Redwarf Posted May 28, 2013 Report Posted May 28, 2013 Selling my Touareg. I don't have to, but I'm not driving it. At least it frees up some capital to start the Shed-Mahal. Another Pajero arrives on Friday as its replacement. Quote
rian Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Studying for a maths exam that is on Saturday, going through past exams and the lecturer keeps throwing in integrals that require trigonometric identities... ʞ©$ɟ YOU! As if vector calculus is not already hard enough without memorising trig identities, ʞ©$ɟ! I'm going to fail this shit. Quote
ke70dave Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 oh my that brings back some aweful memories. Are you at UQ? That sounds awefully like math2000 or Math2010.... Quote
rian Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Math2000, seriously so frustrated about it. I will be lucky if I pass this course. Quote
ke70dave Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Past exams man past exams! and if they still give out that workbook, i recall they used to just change a few numbers of a couple of examples in there..... I think i got 52% on that course. (so perhaps ignore everything above) Quote
philbey Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 Surely you get a cheat sheet for the trig identities...? It's puerile to make students remember stuff like that. Quote
