I'm just about to lift the engine out.

I've got all this stuff planned for it,

but it depends on wether i can find everything.

It's awesome cause my parents bought my

brother his first car and that cost them $12,500.00

and i got my car for free of an old guy and my parents

thought maybe they should pay that back to me lol.

so now i just gotta be wise about what i chose.

Why don't you chuck a 5k or a 7k in. Looks much like a 4k and get a fair bit more go... You could convince them its just a replacement engine surely.

Yeah go 5K. The power increase is awesome. I have a 5K in my yellow KE30 and have more ready to go into my KE36, KE55s and KE25.

 

As for 7K, there is a little more work involved then just swapping them over. Apparently you need to make sump mods and in the end it's said that they aren't much better than a 5K. Plus 5K's are cheap as if you know where to look.

Good work so far on the car. I'd definately look into a 5K for it...I have had 3 so far in my cars, and about to get another one for wagsy...they are a good engine.

7k has shit loads more torque than a 5k. I service town-ace vans that are loaded up with 1300kg's of tools.

Pulls pretty reasonable for a 1.8 loaded up.

I was actually going to convert it sometime.

but not untill after i register it.

i had, had a few thoughts on what i'd put in it,

but wasnt to sure.

most people were like 'rotary' but i'm not a fan. :wink:

then others were like v6, but everyones got em.

so it was nice to have been told about something different.

defently considering.
