SoulSearcher Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 Well I had today off, the sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, so I thought, hmmm I haven't given the car a really good clean for a while (actually a week)... so I spent the last 5 and a half hours washing, waxing (and polishing shiny bits on the car,) I'm completely knackered, but she looks GORGEOUS!!!!!! I've decided tomorrow I'll do the engine bay, the wheels and do the exhaust properly (cause I was a bit slack towards the end of the day) and then I'll take a squillion photo's - once I remember where I put the camera.... :D *goddamn it I forgot to take a BEFORE photo....* ahhhh I think I'll pour myself a drink and go sit outside and drool over admire my car..... oh, and next Tuesday I get my new number plates :hmm: Lesley :P Quote

KE30_KE35_KE55 Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 You can wash your car ? Dam water restrictions. power washer from super cheap $100, does not count you can use as much as you want, I waste like $14 at a coin opp car wash. the river Murray is down 1meter we will see car roofs before the end of summer. Medicine_Man Posted November 23, 2007 Report Posted November 23, 2007 pixorban :D Must see sexy pics of your car after you have gone to town on it :hmm: Quote
SoulSearcher Posted November 23, 2007 Author Report Posted November 23, 2007 I use the coin op wash on Portrush Road, vacuum and chamois it, and then bring the car back home to wax, polish, do windows, interior, wheels, exhaust etc.,... I used to do the whole interior, windows, wheels and exhaust down there, but it takes me about 4 hours, and I kind of feel guiltly that I take up a bay to do it, so now I do the bear minimum there, and do the bulk of it when I get home... on the plus side of doing it there, there's a subway so I can get icy cold coke there and refill before I come home :P I think I left the camera at work, so I'll pop back there tomorrow and pick it up....then take happy snaps... Lesley :) PS: I think I'm obsessed...I took my car back to work tonight to show hubby and one of our regulars was mucking around and pretending to touch it and I freaked out.... Quote

SoulSearcher Posted November 29, 2007 Author Report Posted November 29, 2007 well I didn't take them - I know, I know....I left the camera at work, and the batteries were flat and I recalled the charger being at work, so the next day I went to work and couldn't find the charger...so I thought about the last time I used the camera and remembered that I brought the charger home! but then I left the camera at work...then it rained and the car got dirty... so I'm going to do it all again this weekend, charge the batteries and bring the camera home and THEN there'll be pics! Lesley  Quote
love ke70 Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 and THAT is the reason i don't wash my cars. and that includes the ute i go 4wding in. mud half way up the doors. the cleanest it gets is when it rains and it turns to a yellowybrown stain on white. i painted my ke70, and didnt wash it for 12 months. i washed my 1g ke70 once. they only get dirty again, its a tedious pointless process. in my opinion no offence  but the shiny pics are always good :D Quote
SoulSearcher Posted December 2, 2007 Author Report Posted December 2, 2007 ooohhhkaayyy.... washed the car AGAIN  got it home, decided to take pics of the Corolla and the MR2 went out to the picture spot, and it started to RAIN *bastard!* so drove back home and sulked...then decided bugger it, I'll take phot's anyway...then the camera wouldn't work...got an E18 message....surfed the web and found a solution, hubby fixed camera, and voila! pics :D Lesley  Quote
