Featured Replies

g'day all,

ive got a ke70 panel van with a 4k that came with a nother another panel van i bought, the motor as far as i know has MASSIVE CAM, double valve springs, ported head, 4-1 extractors with a 2'' pipe with a bone stock carby ontop,

i have no idea what is below the head (caus i didnt look further than under the tappet cover)

i had it dyno'd the other day and it made 76.4 rwhp @ 7900 rpm

the air fuel ratio was all over the shop and needs to be rectified soon, but what I'm asking is this power output for my lil 4k good,

what have other 4k's made with what mods,

Hey, that's pretty decent for a 4K, very decent for a stock carby. Get a pair of DCOE webber's on it and you'll bring that cam to life.

My NA 5k dyno'd at 89kW, how does that compare to some other 5ks on here?

I'd be interested to see the dyno sheet on this one :o

I'd be interested in seeing that also.

Not doubting you at all cam and no offence, i just want to save the pic and keep it as inspiration, something to aim for. That's be awesome, i'd be quite intrerested to have a chat to you also to see what kind of mods and things you've got going on, I've got a mildly worked 5k myself, PM me if you've got the time to chat.

Thanks champ. :o

I don't think there is alot of factory 5K left in them motors.

my stock 3K put out 26.2 rwkw :o ... so long as you have more than that, you're doing well

Yeah lots !!!!!!!!!!! :o

My 5k stock other than a little comp 10:1 baby crow cam, twin 1 1/2 su`s and 4 into 1`s made 50 rwkw @ 5700 well thats when it hit the power brick wall and just kept revving making no more power.

But seeing as they are stock 5k ports in the head thats to be expected.

So yeah your 4K seems real healthy considering thats a stock carb reading.

stu.

My first 5K was completely dead standard with a 3K carby on it...I pulled the engine out of the van myself (91 model with under 100K km's on it) and it ran 40rwkw. So to more than double that power without boost would require a fairly massive amount of work...So maybe along with a dyno sheet you could tell us what was done to this 89kw 5K?

i have a feeling we wont be seeing a dyno sheet :o
