have you thought of getting the extractors ceramic coated instead of wrapping them?

havnt got it started yet. its not getting spark :lolcry:

I doubt you'll have much tuning it with a screwdriver :lolcry: But the last owner probably had the jets and chokes set right at some point.

 

What's the deal with the ignition? Doesn't look like a standard dizzy, is it on points with mech or vaccum advance, or is it on an electronic module?

if your not getting any voltage at the coil run a wire directally from the battery. if it starts sparking then theres obviously a fault with your wire.

ran a wire from the battery last night and it sparked.

looks like I'm going ova all my wiring :lolcry: :wink:

k. so.

 

went over all my wiring, changed all the fuses still nothing.

got at everything with a test light and found the problem

its not leting power get to the coil.

ima rip the piece of shit out

k. got the immobilizer sorted.

 

ive got power going to the coil now but its still not getting spark to the distributor...

UPDATES FINALLY!!!

 

had a mechanic mate come around and have a look yesterday.

 

needs new leads and new spark plugs, wiring was a bit jumbled and there was a few other little things.

fingers crossed it will be started next weekend.

 

one small problem tho is the carbs arnt getting fuel :S

theres pressure and the pump is working fine.

i have picture updates!!!

 

still waiting for new leads to arrive,

i got bored on the weekend so i put some coloured LED globes in my dash, and cleaned up all the wiring in the engine bay and took out the charcoal canister.
