greenmac80
more work done. Â seam welded seat rails. Â Â Â here is another one of my awesome ideas that is gonna make this build take even longer. Â Â Â basically these vents allow alot of water in when raining. there isn't really adequate draining here. so water sits in there and rust from inside out. Big NO NO so i'm shaving them. Â i'm aware that this provides air to the cabin but... i have a few ideas on how to route air to the cabin a different way.
greenmac80
and finally... making a larger opening for a larger radiator. Â this top section i'm going to make bolt on so its easy to remove if needed. Â Â original hole. Â 440mm i think i can't remember but around that. Â Â enlarged to 580mm to fit a sprinter sized radiator. also the hole is a lot more centralised. Â Â and capped. Â don't worry i wire brushed the inside.. only the outside is rusty and the car is going to my work for sandblast in approx 3 weeks anyways. Â Â Â cheers. SLO-030
I dunno, some knob jockey owns a overrated KE11 sitting in the shed. Could be the one your thinking of? :) Â It's funny, I finished welding em. Lifted the helmet up, stood back and creamed my jeans hahaha. greenmac80
ok so todays project..  possibly the quickest paint job in history. started work at approx 1:30 and finished everything at around 6pm  so car came looking kinda like this..  then sanded masked dismantled and put in primer.  the basecoat.  then clear coat! looks pretty good. my mate didn't care one bit about the car jst wanted it to look better so its dodgy but got good quality paints on it.  a red pearl was put through this and in person it looks really really good.! defiantely stands out. the colour is called shanghai red.  all up cost less than $500.
