Teddy Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 they were absolute bitches to get off. Total time -> 2hours 10 mins Total people working on it all up -> 5 or so tech's, 2 parts people getting hold of these rareish parts. Danger level for removing old bearing -> **FARK THAT WAS CLOSE** (*had to put onto hydrolic press to get the barstards off, cutt a long story short, pull the bar to push it off, pull once more... again...*BANG!!!!!!!!!!!* - CLANG-TING-PING BOUNCE KAAANNNG* (remembers bearing sell exploding sending something like 15 ball bearings all over the work shop, outa casing self exploding and boomeraning off the wall, 1 half never recovered, and all the lil metal chunks inside just spraying_everywhere like 3 spray shotguns at once, no one got a scratch ... go figure.) Second one came off as a whole. It was for a good cause anyway. Quote

Jason Posted February 11, 2005 Author Report Posted February 11, 2005 (edited) **Diff Delmer** Teddy and I attempted to reassemble the diff today, only to realize the little seal that hold the oil in the diff case is the wrong part. The orignal had a soft inner ring with the metal band. The new one has a hard metal case with the soft inner on the inside. There is a metal lip in the diff case were it replaced the hard rubber. WTF do i do??? btw the old ones are completely shot Edited February 11, 2005 by Jason Quote
