Tell me more, i am intrigued

Doing 100kph on mt lindsay highway in my T18 and i felt a vibration in the steering and i was trying to determine what it was then BANG!!, I thought it was blow out till my left rear wheel passed me and went into the front of a on coming mack truck.

Only had to replace the wheel studs, I should replace the back plate as the bottom of it is a bit worn now but th brakes still work fine and nothing is rubbing so it will be fine.

The girlfriends daewoo dropped the oil because one of the banjo fittings came loose on the oil cooler lines and leaked it all out. It dropped the oil all over the exhaust so there was alot of white smoke doing 120kph down the M1.

I saw a 5 ship F-111 formation. Very cool, very rare and unlikely to be repeated many more times. Unfortunate circumstances but .

I had somewhat of a 'moment' with my old man last night... I took him for a blat in the Chaser and inadvertently re-ignited his enthusiasm for fast cars

Back in 1977, he owned a fully worked TA22... which he managed to write of in quite spectacular fashion, cracking his skull in the process. A year later I was born, his priorities in life were forcibly re-arranged, and playing with cars became something he did, rather than something he does.

Now he's semi-retired and has more time (and $$$) to indulge himself... so we sat up until the wee hours putting together a ballpoint blueprint for a Shelby Cobra replica running a twin turbo 1UR-FSE.... :hmm:

Welcome back old fella

Nice work . But honestly if you don't use a VH45 you're absolutely insane. Cross webbed block, 6 bolt mains, exotic materials. It reads like a built V8 straight out of the factory and with proven motors making 600-1200hp on standard internals how can you go wrong!?

The Nissan option is also on the table... although as far as fleet vehicles go, (and this is where old man bases his opinion on all things automotive these days) we haven't had much luck with Nissan, so might be an uphill battle there.

You could always show him this video:

Internally standard aside from head studs and valve springs (for more revs) and a tasty engine dyno proven 1200bhp.

The VH, VQ, VK and others were all born out of IRL, Le Mans or some other form of racing during the early to mid 90s. Thats why they're all basically race motors out of the box

Sorry for slight offtopic'ness, but the vid below that one in youtube "wankel turbo ski race boat" is one of my fav vids of all time.

Gotta love it.....3 rotors, lotsa boost, 105mph (on water!) and 9500rpm!! :fuzz:
