Not long got back from my brother's place and on the way home past a subaru brumby doing about 60 or so in a 70 zone, red p-plate behind the drivers head.

Then we noticed a head between the driver and passenger ?!? These things only have bucket seats...

As we cruised past i asked the girlfriend how many people can she count......

but for this to be true would the car not have to had eight seat belts?

Yeah I'm not too clear on how this law works... I know in the case of Landcruiser Troopies for example, you can stuff a dozen people into the back with no belts quite legally, but thats because the rear seats are the side-mounted fold down bench type and have no belts from factory.

 

Although, I've had mates booked for overloading before, so I'm not sure.

Well we use to own an Ovlov when I was younger and there were 6 of us in it. (4 Kids in the back) Me and my sister had to share the middle seatbelt.
