Found this on ebay....

If you look at the welds on the mounting flange to the head in the first pic, they look pretty ordinary compared to the other welds. Anyway, what I'm thinking is that this manifold was orinigally made for an SR or CA, then had the flange cut off it and a T series one welded on!!

So for anybody interested in turboing a T series motor, it looks like they have the same exhaust port spacings as a Nissan motor!

Heres an SR one.....

Members dont see this ad

yeah i saw that..

ill prob just go with a j-pipe :)

how much better is a proper turbo manifold (like this one) than a j-pipe power wise, i don't care if it looks better lol.

also don't forget thats stainless, much harder to work with than mild steel

Yeah would never touch a stainless turbo manifold, steam pipe FTW.

Thread was more so just about the port spacing.

A proper turbo manifold will always be better than a J pipe. :) Better response, less restrictive, and hence better flow and velocity. J pipes are a good alternative price wise, but can't compete with a proper manifold when it come to performance.

well spotted TAZ, that was originally an sr20det mani and the ports matched pretty much perfectly, i know this because it used to be a mates, a top mount would be much better because the starter gets very close to the ex housing from memory

Yeh i learnt the hard way!

Here they are, bloody big though!

just a question?

did you have the bracket installed that goes between these to points?

I had mine fail as well and they told me it was because the bracket was not installed? I have since installed the said bracket and also put one on the side of the gearbox to the dump pipe. take the weight of the turbo off the manifold.
