tdg61 Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Can anyone tell me where the location of the fuel pump relay is in a ae82. Thanks Quote
tdg61 Posted July 22, 2008 Author Report Posted July 22, 2008 What is the problem with it? I'm currently wiring in a gze and according to the schematic I have the blue\black stripe wire from the Opening curcuit relay goes straight to the fuel pump itself. Surely 4age would have a relay to power the pump itself. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 You might find that the fuel pump is actually activated by "pull to ground". Quote
turbo ke20 Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 from memory i think the circuit opening relay contols the fuel pump Quote
Medicine_Man Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Yes, Circuit Open Relay controls the fuel pump and can be found beside the ECU.. Quote
Trev Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 I recently wired up a 4age into an adm sprinter and i had to put a relay on the fuel pump that was triggerd by the circuit opening relay (C-O-R) as the positive side of a pump will allow earth leakage and the charge from the C-O-R isnt strong/constant enough to switch the pump even tho its 12v's. Thanks for the replies guys. Will be doing more wiring this weekend and will just wire it in the ae82 fashion for now and see if it all functions properly . Quote
