seabiscuit Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I remember someone from school had this. She didn't come to school for about 2 weeks. We thought she had died, apparently she almost did from the surgery as it's a really delicate procedure. There's about a 60% survival rate. Good luck *gulp* ;) Quote
Budowski Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 that all depends on what hospital hes going into :(, if its the RAH, watch out quite a few of the night nurses are old battle axes who are ready to retire ;) the ones on the northern side on of adelaide arent to bad i know a few of them cause i have 1: worked with them or 2: went to school with them ;) :y: i know a nurse who works in the intensive care unit at RAH, don't know if there is more than one but shes not bad huge juggs :) Quote
Jason KE30 Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 haha thanks for your support guys! and 60%! highly doubt that but apparently sometimes you lose some nerves in your lips. i'm gonna be a drooler!!! lol XD Quote
Teddy Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Thoughts with you over the next few weeks ;) Best of luck Champ ! Quote
Toy-Yoda[RL] Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 6 Weeks without solid foods is not fun, I feel for you on that one..... I've done 3 1/2 months on liquid diet when my orthodontist decided my mouth was too narrow to fit my teeth in, so he split my pallet........ That sucked. And about 2 weeks when I broke my jaw. You're going to learn to love smoothies, you can pack almost anything into a smoothie, even chocolate cake, so now will be as good a time as any to buy yourself a decent blender and a truckload of milk and start experimenting, you'll have fun, I did...... All the best for your operation, regards, Ben. Quote
