trav why don't you just buy a set of throttles? they come up time to time for

pretty cheap. you then can make yourself an adaptor plate and everything is there.

yea i might end up doing that if i can find some at the right time for cheap, difference between silvertop and blacktop quads?

Wrong, They go into the head on a 4age.

yea i thought they did too, thats why i was confused, cheers new they did :)

and all these photos are exactly what i was looking for, keep them coming

cheers

My mistake, been sticking my head in the wrong places for too long. When I think about it, the injectors would have to go after the TVIS butterflies, otherwise you'd be squirting half your fuel into a dead-end

Ha, Mistakes happen and its sometimes hard to tell with all that clutter in there.

True, one of the things I love about the 7A is how much room there is, everywhere. Only thing that is a pain to reach (and is the same as 4AGEs) is the knock sensor - starter motor is hidden at the back but at least you can get to that from underneath

and orangeLJ, they do look good polished but i work in a polish.anitque metal restoration shop and i get bored of polish, + i would say at high temp the clear would melt and it would dull.

I run fully polished inlet manifolds on my "other" car with zero clear coat.

It doesnt get driven daily, but it gets good runs everynow and then, aslong as you keep up the use of a decent metal polish (such as mirrorfinish or purple polish) it wont dull.

Most guys I know don't bother to clear coat their polished alloy (if they do, you can purchase high-temp clear for certain applications)

Just some food for thought mate :)

Figured I should poke my nose in here and put up some images of my 4age.

It's just been fitted in the engine bay but isn't running yet, so I will just show you the images of the finished engine.

I have done all of the polishing myself except for the dizzy.

The intake plenum took about 2 weeks of nights to sand back and buff.

I have never bothered clear coating polished alloy. I think it would be a pain in the ass if you got a small scratch on something to have to get the clear coat back off and re-polish..

very very nice mate! love the attention to detail!

The chrome/polished look and the black go together perfectly with little bits of yellow red and blue, very nice indeed!

Yea i will keep that in mind oranglj, but most things i think i will just polish up and send to the chromers, other stuff i will poish and apply a clear over it

Cheers for keeping the thread nice, clean and relatively on topic and sexified ahahahha

4age 20v ST throttles are slightly smaller than the BT ones trav.

but even still ST is more than enough. and also 20v 4ages the injectors are in the throttle bodies not the head.

not sure but i would believe that the adaptor plate would block off the original injector holes

eand the ones for the throttles would be used.
