Corolla KE30 Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Hey, i was wondering what things should be done if your car hasn't been started in a few months. In about June, i parked the Corolla and i started it every week, however about a month and a half ago i had a operation and couldn't start the car cos i was bed ridden, so it hasn't been started since then..and since the cruising season is nearly here, i want to start driving it everywhere. I just want to know, what things should i do before i start driving or what i should look for before driving? Before i parked it i had just topped up the coolant and oil... Thanks, Dion Quote
Raven Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 I live in Croydon champ and you're probably not far from me. Personally, I'd whip off the coil lead and crank her over a bit to get the oil pressure up. Make sure the battery is charged first. If its a sealed unit, get a trickle charger and charge it up. Other than that, fire her up. :P Quote
Roo Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 get it started then rip a big skid to loosen it up Quote

philbey Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 That's it, there's a racetrack, you've got to do one now. Quote
seabiscuit Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 Yea, just start it as if you would normally... Might be a good idea to do a service (oil change/filters/coolant) if you haven't for a while - they always help. Quote
Jesseb369 Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 HAHAHAHA, Burnout.... What's a Burnout? :P Just fire her up as normal... Service it if you want to. Quote
