What happened to putting on Whitewall paint?

Engine looks good man. :y:

Josh

I need 72 hours of 'wheels off the car' to do the walls.

Sucks having a project as a daily.

But Easter is coming up.... and fresh new wheels......

:hmm:

I had the exact same seats in mine there really good around the hills but stick out like dogs balls with the bright red on them, I swapped them for some RA60 celica seats, not as supportive but enough, very similar to JDM AE86 seats.

Looking good  ! You done a crack test on the block ? That's the first thing I'm doing when I get mine, Mine 5k arrives on Tue - Wed  ..then we'll be pretty much in the same boat.

crack test on the block? it was checked over very carefully visually while it was blasted back to bare metal, but the bottom end has remained together as this was a good running unit before it was pulled apart. its just gotten a paint and new gaskets and a couple of other things to make it work a little better when shes all running.

i did a couple more things while i was waiting for dinner to cook this evening, will post pics soon, updating the software on my phone first

i went and spoke to my local engine rebuilder who does alot of perforance work so he knows his shit. i asked him about pricing on crack test the block etc etc and he laughed and said "i only crack test things when something goes on the engine and puts stress on everything else aka spun bearing/blown hg etc etc. if its just a general rebuild i don't do it"

so i wasted $330 on my engine build that could of gone to something more worth while
