This is my wifes KE17 that she thought she was going to sell but after i got it out gave it a little clean and had it prepared to be freighted to SA to the new very worthy owner ( sorry Jai ) she changed her mind. Whilst the car was tucked away in the shed the decision to sell was easy but after having it sitting in the carport and going for a drive any chance of it being sold was gone ( for now anyway ). Hard to believe after 10 years in storage just rebuilding the front calipers, a new battery and cleaning out the carbys and we're away again.

Assuming you have the original calipers, would be keen to know where you got your caliper seals from?

^^^ I take it he bought KE2X rebuild kits. Same caliper...

Where did you get a KE20 rebuild kit?? I took my KE20 calipers to Perth Brake parts and they told me they couldn't get new seals for them!

I went to super cheap took 2 days to come in. I got the $78 kit think it was had new pistons in it also :lol: Try them there a rip off but hey they have them (got them back in June this year so should still be able to get them)

I had been thinking of taking a punt on KE20 seals, but after seeing this, went and bought some of a Canadian guy for $USD6.25 each. No pistons though, just the seals and the wire ring.

 

His ebay user name is Joefriction and he didn't even charge me postage.

Car is now heading north to a worthy new owner. Keep an eye out for it in the Brisbane Jap classic care seen.

Always sad to see any of your collection split up... I hope to get a peek at them all some day :)
