Browsing through a copy of my mate's Hot 4s magazine, i get to the Dirty Deeds section - where people write - in and ask questions about their ride. I get to about the fourth or fifth letter along and it seems that someone hasa similar car to me. As i get to the end i can't believe my eyes that the name on the bottom is MINE!

 

Now although this sounds OK, its more than not!

 

My problem here is that: - I HAVE NEVER EVER (and wouldnt want too) WRITE INTO HOT 4s.....!

 

How could this happen? What should I do....?

 

And to top things off, it makes me sound like a complete Wanker.....!

 

All the details of my car are on rollaclub in my profile...

So either someone has written in using my details (but what benefit would they get?) or Hot 4s are so CRAP that they didnt have enough content and went searching!

write into them and tell them. i'd call the publishing house right away

It just says all this crap about my car and what it has and then asks what engine i should put in it - 12a, 13b, 4age, 4agze, 18rc??? or some crap.... then it says - money is no problem and my name and town is signed below....

 

the answer is crap - they say, rotors don't do it for me, get the 4agze they make 100kw and will make it fly.....

i'd ask around your friends first, just to see if one of them wrote in using your name....

Like Jamie said, its really pissing me off about it, the fact that someone forged my name and a letter, and in Hot 4s of all places......

i'd agree that Hot4's is about the shittest magazine out... only a little bit worse than FastFours

fast fours used to be cool, but it's lost quality gradually over the years

now zoom is the cool mag

I remember reading hot 4's & fast fours when they actually had decent cars in them, these days its just shit, i think i buy one about once a year if something catches me eyes (lexus v8 celica etc.).

Thats rather rude isnt it. Especially in a gay magazine such as hot 4s. Fast 4s is the lesser but has fallen into the same basket. Zoom bores me and I take no interest in drag racing/dyno queens. The only mags I buy is either drift battle or HPI and thats only if I'm in it.

i think zoom is good because it does such a large variety of cars. home tuned, workshop built, budget, near-elite, drag racers, track racers, drifters, street cars. and it's so cheap! apart from the fact that martin donnon couldn't answer a tech question straight if his life depended on it, it's a great mag. they just upped the page count too, it's now quite a hefty mag

 

hpi is good, so is speed. but i'm never going to own one of those cars, so any knowledge gleaned from the tech articles falls on deaf ears, and the ads are near useless to me as well

What about street machine. Thats where its at. Dinosaur technology forever. Although i did buy quite a few speed magazines a little while back but Jamies point bout the relevance turned me against it.

fast 4's and hot 4s these days suck. more for young nancy boys who spend more time in front of the mirror than their girlfriends. all the newer cars suck (yawn), and most of the older cars are raped and f@$ked up.

 

funny how they are all turning into stick mags. why not just go buy a penthouse or playboy.
