Trev Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Walked out to the car this morning to find the drivers door unlocked and slightly ajar, I look inside to see the glovebox and cubby hole opened up, had a look through the car and nothing is gone: Cd's in the cubby hole. Cd wallet in glovebox. $700 09 pioneer headunit. Walk to my mums car and the passenger door is slightly ajar aswell, have a quick search and all that is missing is $2.40. Now the thing I don't understand is that they are obviously kids wanting a few $$$ but the cars were opened up with no damage at all as if they had a key to get in and if they had a brain then they would of taken the headunit and the cd's but thankfully they didn't. 7shades Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 This kind of theft is typical of a 'certain type' of Australian Trev... Happened to me a few times They don't steal anything they'd need to sell, because nobody would buy it off them. Oh and Cash Converters require ID. Just cash and smokes is all they're after. Quote
Trev Posted September 11, 2010 Author Report Posted September 11, 2010 Are you saying that I should probably shampoo my interior now instead of eating coon cheese? Quote

altezzaclub Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Get the laxatives that look like a chocolate bar and put them in a Cadbury wrapper... Just remember not to eat them when desperate! ;) Quote
beerhead Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Run an extension lead from house and cut the end off. Solder the positive and the negative to $2 coins and leave the car unlocked with them visible in the center console. If your really lucky you'll even get roast dinner for breakky !! Quote

Ewww, that won't smell like a tasty roast dinner though. Removing the head unit would have taken effort! Quote

ke70dave Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 my car got broken into a few yrs ago, (mazda 323 hatch at the time) he coudlnt get the CD player out, so he took out the sub box and the parcel shelf, removed the sub/6x9's and dumped the sub box and parcel shelf in my neighbours boat! he then proceded to push my car into my fence, by putting his hands onto the bonnet and pushing it up the gutter (steering lock prevented him from turning wheel). police got the finger prints and found him a few months later! he had done about 12 cars in the one night...and he was 14yrs old.....and obviosly wasnt very inteligent. its amazing what these punks will do, and how stupid they go about doing it. had he had warn gloves he prolly woulndt have got done for my car. surely these things go through robbers heads.....? Trev Posted September 21, 2010 Author Report Posted September 21, 2010 This is the second time ever where I have had a problem with one of my cars, 9 years ago I came home to find my vh and vr clubsport up on blocks with the wheels missing (lived in a rural area), had the clubsport wheels on the vh and my fake walkies on the clubsport, was not happy as they both weren't insured.
