hi am wanting to know if there is another dash that will fit into a ke30 2dr or if there is a tilt steering column that would fit?

You can swap to a ke55 style dash in a ke30 but its a whole lot more work than I would care the think about. Honestly a custom dash would be easier.

 

Trying to convert the steering column to tilt would be about as easy as converting the rear suspension to coils.

I'm looking into doing this conversion. I've bought an overseas SR5 dash cluster to go with the rest of it. What troubles are there fitting it?

To remove the whole dash its just a right prock of a job. There's bolts and screws you just can't get at that make life very difficult. The last car I removed a dash from was being wrecked so we just started getting aggressive with it and litterally tearing stuff out. :glare:

really i just pulled the dash out of my ke30 and it only took half an hour with nothing broken does anyone have a replacement ke30 dash that i could buy the one i just pulled out has sun damage

since i can't find another dash like it (its the old jap style) \

 

i was thinking to take it to a dash place to get it re wrapped in vinyl

 

or whatever that material may be

ra65's had steering tilt adjust, you might get lucky with it being close enough to a ke70 to do something about

yeah that is prob the best way to go ive seen a few adds with people selling a dash but ive had no reply, so i might have to pull my dash out of the dump pile and just go and get it repaired

in regards to the tilt steering column... I worked with mechanic that told me he fitted a tilt column and it was either a toyota avensis or a kia carnval, did need to cut and weld and manufacture a shite load but he ended up with a steering column that tilted and extended in and out too!!!! I'll try and ask more people and see what I can find out. Just go to a rollaclub meet and ask the ioldest person there, usually they're more than happy to tell you how to "modernise" you lovely rolla... :P

Dash resto guy on the gold coast did mine, cost and arm and a leg, worth it tho

 

Mine only takes 10 mins to take out, including the S13 cluster and guages and i have the roll cage in their, possibly i have mine mounted differently,

 

I'm not sure why you want an adjustable steering, perhaps height??? the KE30 Two Door dash is a work of art IMO and has endless options to setup guages or clusters,

 

otherwise, cut and shut a S13 silvia dash and centre console, make your own brackets, patience and skill would be needed
