philbey Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 I dig the progress you're making, keep the updates coming. If I were a betting man, I'd bet that you go to school at Urrbrae? Quote
iwontarolla Posted September 29, 2011 Author Report Posted September 29, 2011 Yea I though about it but I would Rather flare them even if Ita more work. I do actually how would you know haha? Quote
philbey Posted September 29, 2011 Report Posted September 29, 2011 Deduction. You don't come across 16 year olds who are proficient at using NX6. In 2000 I was in the first CAD class there which paved the way for Unigraphics to donate the software and a bunch of old SGI and HP unix machines and set the school up with their software. And as I mentioned, the guy who owned this pano used to go to urrbrae. Quote
iwontarolla Posted September 29, 2011 Author Report Posted September 29, 2011 Haha that's true. We do have to pretty good here Even then number plate stands for urrbrae haha Quote
iwontarolla Posted October 1, 2011 Author Report Posted October 1, 2011 started doing the guards today, toke the spring out the strut so i can jack up the wheel and get some ideas on how much they need to be done. I'm kinda at a point where i have done as much a i can and theres still 15mm of over hang so am i doing some thing wrong or what? at this point i don't see how i can get ther rear guards to go that far also so I'm thinking about bolt on flares. help would be good. Jono.C Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 Stretched tires and roll the guards, or flare the guards. If i'm correct they're 8's? 195/50's will tuck under stock guards on 8" 0 offset with 195/50's and maybe a minor roll Quote
philbey Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 195's on an 8 inch rim.... jesus you people are crazy with this 'stretch' phenomenon....... Quote
Jono.C Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 195/50's arent even stretched really? The way i see it, it's the cheapest way of fitting them without altering guards or camber tops.. Plus they look better that 225's some people manage to put on them. vvv 195/50's on a 15x8 rim Quote
iwontarolla Posted October 1, 2011 Author Report Posted October 1, 2011 well i have cmaber tops now and they are wound all the way in. the rim alone sticks out 15-20mm and ive flared one guard today but i don't think it did it right :hmm: but i think ill be getting 185/60's put on. Quote
philbey Posted October 1, 2011 Report Posted October 1, 2011 not even stretched?? I run 245's on a 7 inch rim and you reckon 195 on 8's aren't stretched... interesting. You flared a guard in a day? Quote
Jono.C Posted October 2, 2011 Report Posted October 2, 2011 (edited) not even stretched?? I run 245's on a 7 inch rim and you reckon 195 on 8's aren't stretched... interesting. You flared a guard in a day? Not *that* stretched. I have a mate that runs 195/50's on 10" wide rims! 195/50's are no stretch at all on 6.5's.. And there's no way you could get a decent ride height on a ke70 with 245's lets be honest.. *Edit wtf?? 245's are what we have on 9" wide wheels on the back of my brothers supra and they're prefect fit with no stretch Edited October 2, 2011 by Jono.C Quote
iwontarolla Posted October 4, 2011 Author Report Posted October 4, 2011 I'm pretty tempted to go wiht bolt ons but i want metal so I'm gonna give it ago tomorrow. 195's on a 8inch rim is only slightly stretched? Quote
