Turbo Kit Purchased. Thanks to Ryan (SLO-030)

 

Not sure how much of it will remain..

 

R33 sidemount will be switched in favour of a fmic and the J Pipe will be replaced by a turbo manifold.

 

Hoping for around 75rwkw on 15psi and as much torque as i can get. :happy:

At the wheels man!! My old 5kze setup made that way lean on 6psi as we couldn't get it to load up. Put a rising rate reg and some bigger injectors and ended up making 102rwkw on 9psi. Wouldn't imagine it'd be that much different with a carb as I only had a microtech D5 analog ecu(abacus, can't call it a computer lol) and a locked dizzy.

Want more now so hence the new setup.

BTW why not a 5k???

4kc Ke20 + Garret Turbo + 32/36 on 30 psi = 600nm

Sorry got a bit confussed. My bad.

Yeah the old "D5", man can't bag it what so ever. Did me well for a couple of years. I have some early 90's fast four mags and have found some early microtech adds for the digi1. So I'd expect it to be about 20ish years old and was still going strong when I sold the setup to it's new owner.

Should be a photo of it in my rides thread lol.

Stipped the 5k down further yesterday and started cleaning it up. Not looking good.

 

Flipped in upside and bits of rust were falling out of the gallories :huh:

 

Went and got the air hose and A LOT of rust came out. Seems to me this engine has been underwater at some point..

 

Which would explain the sand when the head came off..

 

Luckily all the internals are overrated.
