demuire Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Pre release review Looks like they've taken everything that was good about PGR2 - driving real cars through real cities, kudos points for powerslides etc, enough realism, yet enough arcadeness to keep it fun... Awesome graphics, surround sound, multiplayer... and just made it heaps better again :lolcry: And with the XBox's brilliant controller which I assume they would improve even further with the 360... I can't wait. I should start saving :( Quote
ancullen Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 Hmm, XBox 360 :lolcry:. I hear it's going to be backward compatible with Xbox, so I might get one once they're cheap enough and buy all of the PGR games. Currently I've only got the PS2, and up until recently I'd only bought a few games, all racing ones. Then I made the mistake of buying HalfLife when I saw it for $17. Oops. Racing games all the way. PGR3 looks awesome. And it's kick-arse that they have cars like the Elfin Streamliner included. Quote
demuire Posted November 16, 2005 Author Report Posted November 16, 2005 Same, I've only got racing games for PS2. I have Burnout 2 and 3, GT2 and one of the rally ones, I forget which it is. I only ever play Burnout 3... I want PGR. It's like Burnout, just so much better. Quote
demuire Posted November 16, 2005 Author Report Posted November 16, 2005 Yeah I've heard that RC2 is really good. Never had a chance to play it though. Quote
love ke70 Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 i want more racing games for pc  theres nothing any good that i can find, and i can't afford (money or time) a games console Quote
Super Jamie Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 http://www.liveforspeed.net/ they don't get much better than this, as far as realism goes i've wasted many hours playing colin mcrae 2.0 on both pc and psx i havent touched pc games since i got given a ps2 last christmas Quote
love ke70 Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 oh my that looks jolly fun, u know what ill be doing tomorrow when i wake up, but i think its bedtime, almost 100 posts today, I'm exhausted. and i don't think ive spammed excessively, amazing lol but just a thought, why is there less games made for pc? me thinks there would be a good market for them, as alot more people own a computer capable then the number of people with a games console meh I'm tired Quote
kangaroosa Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Live For Speed = Top Game  I was going to buy the LFS2 license to unlock all the cars and tracks, but havent been bothered yet. Nascar Racing 2002 (Sierra, Papyrus make it). Its only got 2 road tracks and the rest are oval. The car physics are great. The tuneability is extensive, and very responsive in the gameplay. Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed = Bloody Brilliant. :D The best and only worthwhile Need for Speed game. Make sure you invest in a Good Quality force feedback steering wheel, if you havent already done so. Quote
Super Jamie Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 i have always found pc gaming irritating. drivers and crashes and all that shit. always having to have a f@$koff expensive system to play games at their best settings with a console, you just pop it in and play, none of that shit, and the game always works and always looks its best. and it's on the comfort of the lounge where you can lean back and spread your legs or lie down or pause and have a nap if you so desire i used to be a big pc gaming kiddie when pcs were more technically capable than consoles, but the games were still about gameplay than focus on graphics. i think good pc games died about the time quake came out, and everyone went out and bought a playstation Quote
Teddy Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Live For Speed = Top Game  I was going to buy the LFS2 license to unlock all the cars and tracks, but havent been bothered yet. ... Been there, done that :D - Sooo worth It !! Quote
Felix Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 (edited) Rally Trophy it is a few years old now, but still great fun. just love the old cars from 1960 through to 1972. you can download heaps of different cars, such as a starlet, celica 2000gt , datsun 510/1600 to name a few. the RWD cars are very challenging. Redwarf would love this one. Edited December 31, 2005 by Felix Quote

love ke70 Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 well u say that u need a f@$k off expensive system to run games at their peak, if i put the cost of a new games console into my computer i don't think id have any worries, but i spend all my spare time on the computer when I'm not workin on the car. i think ur right tho, good pc games are all but dead  gonna have a go at that live for speed now tho :D Quote
