boost Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 G'day guys, I'm looking for a camber plate for my ae86 strut conversion on my ke25. Will the te27 camber plates fit ke25's ? Thanks guys Steve Quote
Jono.C Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 I'm pretty sure they do. Technotoytuning.com sell te27 ones, might pay to give him a message to know for sure Quote
aspheric Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 I contacted T3 about exactly this and they were reluctant to say yes or no. The reason being that there is at least two different stud patterns in the *e2* series corollas... My ke25 measured even spacing between all bolts at I believe 97mm (that could be 92mm or 95mm though, going off rough memory here). I ended up just forking out for K-Mac's Street / Race castor & camber adjustable tops which are to fit KE18-26. Cost was eye-watering - $500 delivered - but I wanted the castor adjustment as the ke20 / ke25 have deplorable castor from factory. Their bottom-level option is $400 delivered. Quote
Jono.C Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 There's not point to k-mac for street purposes. If you want more castor, Get castor arms.. Quote
coln72 Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 Unless you have coil overs fitted, you are wasting your time with camber tops. There aint no room in the tower to move the the standard spings in. You could of always run a die down the castor rods to cut some longer threads to wind on more castor, if that is what you needed. And, the crossmember can be redrilled to move the LCA's out ;) Quote
parrot Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 You can also look at castor rods from other cars. My old TA22 had Datsun 1600 castor rods from memory which enabled me to wind in masses. Quote
wagn Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 Yes TE27 camber tops bolt in from my experience using Te27 cusco camber tops, can't say for any other brands tho Quote
boost Posted June 17, 2012 Author Report Posted June 17, 2012 emailed the guys at T3 with no replies. Shows their level of customer service. I'll be running coilovers so the camber tops will be usefull. Thanks Haydn. How many different bolt patterns do the te27 have ? if there's only one , then I can't see why the T3 te27 tops can't fit the ke25. Do you mind measuring the bolt spacing from center to center of the bolts mate ?? Cheers Steve Quote
ke70dave Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 why not buy these and drill to suit? http://www.otomoto.com.au/p/4116516/hsd-universal-camber-top-kit.html measure twice, cut once. better use a drill press though, and a punch on the exact right spot to drill the hole. Quote
Jordain Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 Just buy second hand Ae86 ones or visit a local suspension shop and find cambertops of something big ( evo 5/rx7/anything ) second hand, they should take $30 for them... Then just measure it up, drill some holes, cut it down... cheap cambertops. Fits anything too..... I've got evo 5 ones in my Ke10, Rx7's in my datto 1200 and i've got wrx ones in my girlfriend daihatsu cuore.... Quote
boost Posted June 18, 2012 Author Report Posted June 18, 2012 wouldn't the eye of the center spherical bearing be a different size or do they all run the same size? Quote

I've got evo 5 ones in my Ke10, Rx7's in my datto 1200 and i've got wrx ones in my girlfriend daihatsu cuore.... Ran KE35 items in my KE20. Had to cut them down to suit the smaller tower and reposition a couple of holes a bees dick. Knocked out two of the studs, fitted it up inside of the strut housing using one stud. Used a drill to drill two new mounting holes, or in my case elongate two of the existing ones. Once this was done, I refitted the studs and mounted it all up. Quote
