Anyone used one of these?

EDIT: Noticed one of the other boys linked basically the same one but for $350. That either means someones getting ripped off or its a great deal.

EDIT 2: Not quite the same. http://www.gasweld.com.au/594736-toolex.html

I used one like the link at the top,of the page last week. My mate brought it,around, it was an orrcon branded one, but otherwise identical.

Pretty damn good to use, but you gotta be careful. Because it's not very long, you have to have it right under the car to jack. His jack paces were quite far in. The handle is also spring back to vertical, if you're not careful you could easily dent a door letting go of it.

Other than that it was damn nice. The single roller on the front is wicked and it's a very fast lift. Still heavy though.

That jack looks very similar to this one that sprint stores sell for about $130ish, they were on sale for $99 at fathers day last year. A friend bought one for his dad and it slowly went down in use, but I think he got it replaced fine and haven't heard about it since. its pretty damn heavy, bit under 35kg apparently

Heres the one I'm talking about

  • 3 weeks later...

Repco sell Pro-Lift jacks which I'm pretty sure is made by the same company as Omega, so they are probably pretty good.

We just got this jack in at work, it's a Kincrome 3 tonne jack and it weighs 50kg. It's the biggest trolley jack I've ever seen, I would have bought one if I knew we were getting them.

In the market at the moment - budget of around $200 give or take...

Any specials I should know about?

Repco Prolift jacks, get the proper one with the valve release integrated into the handle (twist the handle to release). They are always on sale.
