corollaart Posted August 30, 2013 Author Report Posted August 30, 2013 Also makes a difference when you can drive and fabricate to the level of these two. Aw i hate that!!! Quote
Medicine_Man Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 They deserve it after all the engines and troubles they went through in the beginning stages of the reshelled car.. Quote
corollaart Posted August 30, 2013 Author Report Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) They certaintly do,I rest my case. .I guess one or both will be at the wrc Justin? rob Edited August 30, 2013 by corollaart Quote
supra2 Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 Thanks for the kind words Rob. Iam running the celica in the classic section of the WRC in a few weeks. I did ask Tony at Bago if he was going to compete but he said no. It should be a great event, and for me, a once in a life time chance to compete in the same rally as the world champs. It will be great to run directly against people like Neal Bates and Ryan Smart and the rest in the ARC classics. Drivers briefing will be very surreal Cheers Craig. Quote
altezzaclub Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 Well done guys! We sat it out in the Woolshed, hopefully to have the car ready for the rallysprint down there later this month. Great video!! All 2nd-3rd-4th from the look of it, so all those other gears are wasted! Up for a 5.1diff?? Quote
supra2 Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 The Celica is repaired, serviced, cleaned and preped ready to be loaded up for Rally Australia next week. We have been seeded car 7 in the Classics. Might even get 2 seconds of air time on tv if we are lucky. Quote
ke70dave Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 Very cool. I think I may have met you many yrs ago when I was helping Peter Stringfellow with some scrutineering at yaraman rally? I think the celica was at its first outing or very close to it? Quote
corollaart Posted September 7, 2013 Author Report Posted September 7, 2013 Nice!! How come you got two terratrips? Quote
supra2 Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 Yep, I know Stringy well. Yaraman was a great rally venue. Thanks Rob. I built it as a copy of the works safari cars which had 2 trip meters. I think they almost had 2 of everything fitted to keep the cars going during those African events. Quote
altezzaclub Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 2seconds! Well, you know how to get famous... a giant spectacular roll right in front of the camera! Unless you can get a kangaroo to run down the road in front of you when the cameras are around... Good luck- car looks great! Quote
