Thanks fella, will have a look.

I really must look at emigrating to Aus as you guys seem to be able to get classic Jap car parts so much easier than us folks here in the UK.

Buy another set of leave springs for a ke20 pull the pack apart and cut 2" off the ends of each leaf, pull your springs out of the 20 and separate them and repack them using the other one staggering them in order of length, make sure the second leads is inverted, bolt them all back together and put them back in the car, this effectively lowers the car 2" and doubles the load carrying capacity and stiffens the shit of the rear end, also its legal where as lowering blocks aren't.

check center pin of the escort Blocks. From memory Corolla ones are 16mm diameter

Finally got my car riding just how I wanted it.

In the end I lowered it by using 1.5 inch lowering blocks on the rear for a Mk1 Ford Escort and Mk2 Ford Escort rear shocks to compensate for the drop. On the front I used a 1.5 inch lowered spring with AW11 38mm dia early rear strut inserts with a small 20mm or so spacer to ensure a perfect fit.

Running 6J 13" TWR alloys with 185-60-13 tyres keeps the speedo near true and the tyres are clear of the fenders.

The ride is hard but not uncomfortably so.

Did not get the TE27 wide track look that I was looking for but that will come when I get my 4AGE conversion sorted in the next year or so.

Thanks to Pete and all who shared their knowledge and wisdom.

(i would have posted a picture but have yet to work out how to do it on here)
