  1. Buy another set of leave springs for a ke20 pull the pack apart and cut 2" off the ends of each leaf, pull your springs out of the 20 and separate them and repack them using the other one staggering them in order of length, make sure the second leads is inverted, bolt them all back together and put them back in the car, this effectively lowers the car 2" and doubles the load carrying capacity and stiffens the shit of the rear end, also its legal where as lowering blocks aren't.
  2. Which lcas are the longest and will fit a ke20 with R31 front struts??? Trying to get the right camber.

  5. having the first main leaf normal the second inverted and the rest normal work just fine, if you want to stiffen it up and lower without blocks add extra leaves mine has a 9 pack with VH commadore station wagon shocks, it may sound to much but the leaves depth give the effect of lowering and extra weight carrying ability and the shocks are soft enough not to put you lower spine through the top of your head, had it that way for 6 years no problems and handles great, the front is standard struts with lowered kings and bump steer correction spacers, can send photos if you like, by the way did this all at home on my own to save money all up cost me approximately $350 and half a day. hope this helps. :bounce:

  11. already converted the stud pattern to 114.3 and the diff ratio is 3.7:1, would really like to keep it and convert the drum to disc. i'll give the 86 disc idea a go and let you know, the hilux diff would be awsome, when you say "I got" is that anything like "I'm selling" !!!!!

  19. with the ke20, buy a 2 inch lowering kit, repack the rear springs with an extra 5 leaves and have the 2nd leaf inverted, be sure to grind the leaf springs to the correct length so none of then are the same length, staggered, do not use the actual lowering blocks, the extra thickness of the pack will do that, VH commadore wagon pedders shocks will fit. the front is a set of king springs 2 inch lower than standard, I've been running this setup for the past 3 years and it has brilliant,the weight carrying capacity is increased and is still reasonably comfortable.   20. It may sound stupid but, the 7k crank should fit into the 5k block, therefore eliminating the sump problem, what would the resulting capacity be, still just 1800 or ?, are the block heights different, if so different conrods will be needed, what would you have??? :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

  22. try some lowered king springs in the front, then find another set of rear springs and undo them, trim 20mm off each one, unpack the ones on the car, then repack but have the second leaf inverted, get a longer bolt for the center locating position, you may need a set of clamps as it gets pretty stiff, and hopefully it should turn out looking a little like this. rear shocks, try VH commondore wagon sports riders from pedders.
  23. havn't had time to read the entire post pages but to have the fastest n/a 5k or 4k in the land would be an interesting challenge, as long as the were certain restrictions on what could be used ie, single carbie factory head but able to be ported and or flowed and or nitrous, it would have to be in a corolla of some sort also, weight reduction would be a must, I'm interested, one way to make use of all the spares lying around. :jamie: :bash: :D >|
