Felix Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 doesn't sound like fun. i've been through a few phases like that over the years. usually caused over stress related issues.... sleeping pills don't really help much, you close your eyes, wake up, but still don't feel like you have slept.
Trev Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 You can go 5 days without much sleep before it really starts affecting you, i had a stage of depression and for 2 full weeks i was sleeping an hour a day, i watched nearly every dvd that we had at that time and it gets boring cause u see so much of the day.
st.nick Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Excessive speed and E pills will do that Thomo.... You should lay off them man.
thomo Posted June 9, 2006 Author Report Posted June 9, 2006 this is just stress, aparently it stops me sleeping (as I'm finding out) depression makes me loose my appitite, if you don't eat for 3 weeks you turn a funny orange light green color, mmm a good look! (and it takes years to put the weight back on) good to know I'm not the only one whos body goes stupid when the brain overloads ROLLACLUB, good for what ailes ya! (and it seems i loose ALL abuility to spell, not that i could before) "but will i be able to play the piano doctor!cos i couldnt before"
irokin Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 You can go 5 days without much sleep before it really starts affecting you What a load of garbage. After 17-19hrs of sleep deprivation its like having a blood alcohol content of 0.05. After 5 days I dread to think what your reaction times would be like. Good luck with shaking the insomnia :ninja:
Raven Posted June 9, 2006 Report Posted June 9, 2006 Exercise helps. Whatever you're stressing about, try doing something to take your mind off it.

Without much sleep is quite a bit different to without ANY sleep. Even 10 minute power naps can improve your memory functions (but according to a NASA study not alertness...?). Regardless I wouldnt be driving or operating machinery. Why arent you a doctor if you apparently know everything about anything??
Trev Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 Why are you admin if you keep on annoying people, everyone else would of read what i wrote PROPERLY but it seems that your the only one with the problem.
Redwarf Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 Why are you admin if you keep on annoying people, everyone else would of read what i wrote PROPERLY but it seems that your the only one with the problem. Conversely, why do the Mods and Admins think you're an agrumentitive tool who can't be told anything??
rb30 boy Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 I have had similar problems in the past and i was shown a relaxation technique that really works. Lay down in bed and breathe deep and slow. When you inhale flex all your muscles tight and then relax when you exhale. do this for a few minutes and you will be off with the fairys
Dan Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 I might give that one a shot, rb30 boy. I often can't go to sleep at night because I will sit and think about something, not be able to stop thinking of it... its a right pain in the arse. Also, if your the sort of person who always drinks coffee or coke, take cod liver oil tablets... they're tasteless, clear out whatever the thing is that all the caffiene blocks up (which causes difficulty of good sleep). Man, this thread is f@$ked. Why can't everyone get along and not argue with each other? Getting to be a right pain in the f@$king arse.
