So next weekend I'll tackle the dash and we'll hammer and chisel out the sound deadening inside the car. Happy happy fun times!

Its so brittle that it just smashes off anyway. I'll get a pic up of whats been removed just in the passenger side under the seat mounting points for the front seat.

 

Came off pretty easily.

 

I've thought about the dry-ice idea but getting it home would be an issue in itself me thinks.

wrap it in a towel and chuck it in an esky

anyways looks like this is gonna start making progress which is great... the race is on...

Hmm, I wouldnt call it a race as I'm taking my time to do this right the first time and not do it half-assed.

have read all 22 pages... will keep up with this thread and look forward to seeing the finished product

*******UPDATE*******

 

Have now COMPLETELY stripped the interior, finished off stripping the engine bay and completely removed the fuel and brake lines from the front to rear of the car.

 

I'm going to take the path of obtaining some dry ice and finish stripping out the sound deadening inside the car and then it will be off for sand and soda blasting.

 

 

Before I got stuck into it today....

This Soda Blaster, they coming to you for that price? or you need to trailer it out there?

 

I'm trying to work up motivation to do the 911, but I'm not looking forward to the weeks of arduous stripping paint. Plus by the time I buy a few bits and pieces, stripping media, orbitals, sandpaper, and take a bunch of time off work, 700 bucks is looking like a good deal!!

Yeah I replied back to the email.

 

That price was for me to trailer it out there.

 

With the 911, you can sodablast it without removing panels and the soda doesnt damage any of the trim etc apparently.

I'll probably pull a fair bit of stuff out anyway, I want to get all my window surrounds powder coated etc.
