Raven Posted August 8, 2010 Author Report Posted August 8, 2010 Yep, I know that Tally. The wagon was also meant to be a daily driver once on the road and I can't really on-sell the wagon without it being painted, running and registered either. Quote
Undertaker_is_the_best Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 I think this car is (or at least will be) fantastic. Take a break from it and go back to it when you can. Unless it's a space issue I'd just tarp her up and put her aside, don't sell her off. Although it might not seem like it to look at her, you have actually come a long way with this car. Don't give up now. It would be a shame to see this project sold off Mick. I was looking forward to cruising the GOR with you one day....Rotorolla style. Your going to do whats in your heart in the end, but i'm just suggesting that you don't rush into a decision. My car has spent 3 years off the road, and 1 year on. There were days when i was so close to walking away, but dude I am so glad I stuck with it. What sort of cash will it pull as is...few hundred maybe...hardly worth it. Chuck it in the backyard under a tarp and save up to get the engine and gearbox fitted. The inspiration will flow after that hurdle has been jumped. +1 memorial bro. I bet a lot of us would help out for that fact. +1. You know what i do Mick. You have my number ;) yeah mate, all these boys are right. keep going if you can. it was a memorial and +1 on 67Rolla-ken post. if its a space issue tarp it up and chuck it in the yard. would be a disappointment to see so much time and effort go like that Well for one thing you got the wagon and that's a mini project on it's own... In most cases why people sell the car they initially wanted to build is distractions with other cars. The wagon will never be as cool and unique as your ke25 and won't have that personal value man. +4 totally agree with these guys dude keep the 25 and tarp her up if needed Quote
Raven Posted August 14, 2010 Author Report Posted August 14, 2010 Unfortunately, as much as I don't want to, the 25 has to go as I have no-where to put it and no time do so anything with it. Firstly though, I'll sell of the panel van and leave the 25 till last. I may even end up parting out the 25 if I don't sell it with all its bits and pieces. So this is what will happen. The 36 gets primed up and sold off. The 25 goes with all its bits or I sell off the parts. Money from both vehicles goes towards a van for my dirt bike, so I don't need to buy a trailer. Then I'll save up a little more and buy a Mk.III Supra. Possible engine conversion and suspension on that and then I'll be happy. At least I'm still doing some sort of memorial build as Nays also had a Supra which she wanted to do it, so I'll take that path and do it that way, plus a Supra will handle a little better than a KE25. Budowski Posted August 24, 2010 Report Posted August 24, 2010 Oh well thats a shame, dirt bikes are fun and supra's are cool. Just wondering what sort of price you would be chasing for the ke25 and all related parts and maybe an update of its current condition ? Quote
Raven Posted August 24, 2010 Author Report Posted August 24, 2010 (edited) Decided against a Supra. Getting something else in 2 weeks time :) Current condition is as of the last post and pictures. Shell has rust, which would need repair, same as the doors and front guards. I'd probably take 2k for the whole lot of original parts that came with the car (minus instrument cluster as thats spoken for) if someone was willing to come and get it all. Otherwise I'll part it out and help the rest of the corolla community :) The twin dellortos, bolt on flares, front lip, T series diff I'll be selling seperate. Edited August 24, 2010 by Raven Quote
