Fayt Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 I was just thinking and thought why the Gran Turismo makers don't put ke10/20/30 etc cars on the game, i don't know about you all but I think it would be cool if they did. They bother to put some cars on the game that some people didn't even though existed but don't bother having well known and popular cars like pre 1980 corolla's on the game, it doesn't make sense. I want to upgrade ke10's to 400hp and beat dodge vipers god damn it!!! :D Quote
Des Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 if they put a dam bluebird on there why not old school rolla's.there is a ae86 on there which is ok but i want to drive a ke70 dam it Quote
irokin Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Probably because you can buy a real corolla for less than the price of the game.... Quote
Jono Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 (edited) no e30 m3's either. at least they had 2002 turbos and Cosworth 190e's in GT4. If any corolla will make it into the game besides an ae86 it would be the te27 Edited August 30, 2006 by JC807 Quote
muller Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 I'm playing forza motorsport at the moment and i reckon they need to make GT have the engine swap feature. That would be good, damage too Quote

ancullen Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 GT4 has the 190E Evo II. Both race and road versions. The reason for the lack of good Corollas in GT4 may be that Toyota only wanted certain cars in the game. Auto Modellista has the TE27, but I'm yet to win one. It's a crap game though, so you should be able to pick it up for about $20. In Forza, can you swap motors between manufacturers, and is there any limit to the engine swaps? Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 In Forza, can you swap motors between manufacturers, and is there any limit to the engine swaps? Nope, only inhouse, and the selection is based on something that would have a realistic chance of fitting. EG the only engines you can swap into an AE86 in Forza are a 3SGE Beams (from an RS200 Altezza), or a 1GFE from an IS200. It won't allow you to put in a 1UZFE or 2JZGTE for instance. Quote
Josho Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 (edited) In Forza, can you swap motors between manufacturers, and is there any limit to the engine swaps? From memory you can't, some cars you can't do much with either. But cars like the AE86 you can put in either a 3S-GTE, 3S-GE beams or a 2JZ. Edit - Hah, bet to it. I'm probably wrong, but I thought you could put a 2J in it? That was probably the RS200... I need to borrow my mates Xbox again, its a fun game. I remember making a 13B (or was it 20B?) Miata, freaking mental it was! :D Edited August 31, 2006 by Josho Quote
ancullen Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 I'd like to see someone make a game where you have to become World Champion by a certain time, eg. within 1,500 game days. You could then have a feature where you can swap any motor into any car, but the more complicated the swap, the more days it takes. For instance, an AE111 4A-GE 20v into an AE86 could take one day, a 3S-GE or 3S-GTE into an AE86 could take two days, a 2JZ-GTE could take three days, and a 1UZ-FE/3UZ-FE could take four days. Then if you wanted to swap a motor from another manufacturer into that same AE86, there would be an extra day's penalty for coming from a different manufacturer, as well as each extra days penalty for every two extra cylinders. It would add a bit of a real dimension to the game (although I'd like to see a full 3UZ-FE conversion in four days), and people couldn't dick around forever else they'd run out of game time. Oh, and no B-spec or Photo Mode!!! Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 20B triple turbo mini cooper!!!! Quote
ancullen Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Pfft. I saw a Mini with a Honda B18C6 in it the other weekend. It was squeazy enough, let alone trying to fit a 20B, let alone with triple turbos. Quote
Falken_KE30 Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 something different, though the AE86 in FMS is nuts fully done, same with the nissan 240z with a RB26..., few other cars too, hmmm maybe i need to get an xbox again!! Quote

Maybe, my memory is a little sketchy (haven't played Forza in ages), the more that I think about it the more I'm convincing myself that you might be able use the 2JZ, I don't think the 3SGTE though (didn't come in RWD applications anyway, and you could just turbo the Beams to get similar results). There are definitely two engine choices though, and one is definitely the Beams. Quote

I'm playing forza at the moment and the choices for the AE86 are Stock, 3S-GTE from an MR2, and the 3S-GE from the Altezza RS200 Sega GT is pretty cool too. Wish xbox could have GT aswell though :D Quote
