Strut Conversions In Old Ke Rollas

seems like a lot of people are doing entire strut conversions to

get an easy brake / spring / damper / camber upgrade.

ke30:

i know the corona xt130 are popular and are almost

a bolt in fit?, as well as doing the pug hilux brake upgrade on them.

ke20:

celica ra40 struts and control arms?

any others?

RA40 celica struts bolt into a KE30/55

Could possibly do that to KE20/25 too, but I'm not sure about obtaining any negative camber with such a large spring diameter.

You'd wanna go coil-over conversion to get negative camber though.

i have seen people use datsun struts in ke10's, i would like to know a bit more about it, my mates old ke10 had stanza front struts and a 100kw 4age, the struts were supposedly fitted with not to much hassel, anyone know about it

I'm pretty happy with my standard ke10 struts with ke20 cut down coils and removed transverse leaf

cool, i might have a bit of a mess around with my new ke38 when i get it to try and fit some datsun 240k struts i have into it, just for a bit of fun,

the only reason i used stock struts and stock springs etc is because i can't afford anything dear, i am just using what i allready have,

hmm

for a ke30, the easier jobby is to use ta22 struts and lower control arms...

just gotta swap over the strut tops - child's play, and bolt up the control arms ...

I'm doin this soon... its good coz stock corolla vs stock ta22 celica suspension - the celica stuff is seomthing like 30mm lower standard.. so the idea is to get ta22 low king springs and some shocks - and you're ke30 will sit low. tyre shouldn't be much above the guard :P

ra40 gear has bigger discs and stuff, but not as low ...

hope this helps
