Hi, new to the forum and recently got a ke70. My daily is an ra65 but i wanted something to play/learn with. First off, apologies if this is the wrong spot to ask. Just wondering what the differences were between the 84 and 83 model. I'm looking at picking up a chrome bumper, but all of the listings seem to say 81-83 models. Is there actually a body size difference? Do people prefer the 83 models? Have searched around but can't find much info on the physical differences on the body's (if there even is any difference).

Hello. I just joined this morning. I have a 1981 KP61 Starlet with a 4AGE and T50 5 speed. The car has an all steel wide body conversion (custom) Period American Racing magnesium 13" wheels with wide tires that I'm finding difficult to replace and custom paint. The car is running, but the transmission is out while I find all the parts I need. The car also needs a TON of work since the old owner yanked apart the KP61 wiring and never figured how to correctly run the AE86 wiring. This is my third Starlet. But my first in 19 years.

Hi all. My name is Aaron and I'm a new user to rollaclub but have been around the site through friends and customers of mine and from a previous workshop popular to members so I'm sure I've met or spoken to some of you before. My daily drive is a paddock find ke38 wagon. But I'm the furthest from a one eyed make fanatic you'll find. I own and run a small mechanical/parts supply business in the south of Adelaide but I won't spam that here. Take it easy you filthy animals Peace

Hey all, Just a quick introduction to the club, I have just Purchased a 1982 KE70 for $50 and come across this forum when I was searching the net for parts , it is %100 complete and apart from the rusty spare wheel well and boot seal and a blown head gasket, it is a pretty good base for a project I think. I have Done plenty of motors and bodywork over the years so I think I should be right to save this old beast and get it back out there cruising again, I have joined the forum to hopefully get some help getting a hold of some bits and share my progress on how its all going, I'll see how I go attaching some pics of getting old Meggs home.

Thought it would be a cool idea to have a thread where if you come across a good write up or photo shoot you could link it in here. I'm always on the hunt to read up about others *E7* projects. The pics and vids thread is good but its also good to get some detailed info on these projects. Try not to just link the article, maybe add some quick info like the site its from etc. SIte: Speedhunters Link: http://www.speedhunt...this-irwindale/ Info: A photo shoot of Rod Chongs orange 20v.

So, my mate and his missus have their camper-trailer & a new 4WD to replace the old feral Landcruiser, and they want us to join them on a trip to see Lake Eyre with water in it during September. I don't mind, but I'm not keen to buy a 4WD (probably an old Nissan Kingcab I will re-motor..) for one trip so soon and we're looking at hiring one. The problem is that the usual hire companies operate out of Broken Hill & Adelaide, so we have a long drive paying for every Km at some wallet-bending rate before we get anywhere. Bluntly, I'd take the KE70 as I reckon the reports of how terrible the roads are will be over-rated (not m i n t !) by these city-slickers …
