  1. Nope because your car is a lot heavier than an ATV.
  2. Grrr , I wish this was a week earlier, then I could come and have a look at the cars and meet some of you.
  3. You might get about $20 for it at the scrap metal place, not sure how much scrap metal is going for these days. (Just joking) Just like everything else its only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. I got no idea how much it would be worth.
  4. Just a thougt ...... Maybe you entered a wrong figure, I would try it again. All the best
  5. Love the colour and detail that you have been putting into this build. Good to see your back at it. All the best.
  6. Dirty dogs for steeling your baby ~ I must have missed that it was stolen. Good to see you back in the drivers seat of a corolla. All the Best
  7. Hi there, I have been told that a RN25 HiLux diff is the correct length to fit a corolla (do not know if this is true or not and or even if the springs would locate with the spring hangers on the RN25 Hilux diff. If you are going to but a Hilux diff in I would suggest going for a late model Hilux diff as these diff housings are made from thicker material. As for the brackets to bolt the R31 calipers to a Hilux diff you have 2 options; 1st being for a 270mm disc and the 2nd being for a 300mm disc. (If you are after these brackets I can arrange for these to be laser cut, just send me a PM) For the front brakes there are many different options that you can do, the most common is the Hilux/pug/corona (but this is a 4 stud setup) just have a bit of a search. Just a tip, have a chat to an engineer before you spend any money. All the best
  8. :POSTPICS!: lol
  9. Love the colour. All the best with your plans for the Lil Blu and all the best with the in becomming a diesel mechanic.
  10. Hi there, Nothing happened due to Easter break (went camping at Undara Lava tubes ~ it was cool as some of the Lava tubes had water in them and we could have swim in them, the guide said that it is rare to have water in the Lava tubes). I do not think I will get a chance to do anything this weekend either (being May day long weekend) as I am heading up the lake skiing. Next on the list is to cc the pistons and the swept cc volume so I can figure out if I need to deck the block and or cc the combustion chambers of the head. Thanks for showing some interest.
  11. That little HiLux brings back some memory’s :y: I had one of them about 20 years back
  12. ^^^ I agree, learn to drive on the road. If you want to “Slide” then take yourself of to a controlled environment, i.e. a track
  13. Hi all, On the weekend I made a thicker spring retainer (about 2.5mm) for the oil pump, this will up the oil pressure before the relief valve opens which will pump the oil up to the head where it is needed (from past experiences I should be seeing an oil pressure of about 60 – 70 psi). I also ported/chamfered the openings on the oil pump so it is less restrictive. Not the best pic to show how thick the spring retainer is I know this does not seem like much but in the past I have broken oil pumps with big revs but after this little trick I have had any more broken pump gears. Here is a picture of an oil pump that I broke about 4 years back.
  14. Hey there, I got my windscreen seals from “Phils Rotary” Have a look through there list and give them a call. Click on me for the link All the best
  15. Found some time during the week to clean up the threads on the block before putting the studs in. Hope to do a little more over the weekend.
  16. The white mirrors are different :hmm:
  17. I was joking, that is some random huge ass turbo that I found on the net  . That size turbo would not fit in my little engine bay. But the plan is for a turbo.
  18. That’s great :y: as I need my KE35 dash reupholster as I have 5 splits happening. "Which reupholster do I go to, to ask for the manager “Jesse” for a 50% discount." I was thinking of sending my dash down to Brisbane to be reupholster. Seriously thought congratulations on the new job as it is a tough market out there in Cairns at the moment
  19. One of these things NOT THAT BIG
  20. Spool rods! WTF (Wash your mouth out with soap! lol) No not spool these little numbers are a custom job and only weigh in at 430grams and are rated to 600hp+. And forget the “K” series try a “W” series gearbox.
  21. It’s been a little bit busy up here with the cyclones and floods and doing a bathroom renovation but on the weekend I got a chance to measure the clearances I asked the machine shop to machine the block to. Note I will use a plastigauge to check on the final clearances on assembly. We have had that much wet weather up here and the humidity has been through the roof I have a light coating of surface rust over my new clutch fingers and a little on my light weight custom billet flywheel (I have only had it for 2 months). Looks like I will have to get a move on and put it all together soon
  22. Who could forget this one ! (This is Old Sckool ~ Micheal was still Black)
  23. "And the winnewr is" I will have to download all of these to play in the rolla when I'm out crusin!
  24. What’s going on! You’re being too quiet over there.
  25. Hi there Mick, The easiest way is to get the pedal set up from a KE55 manual as this would bolt straight in, but as you know you would have to do a slight modification to the pedal box to make it suit a hydraulic clutch as the KE55’s run a cable clutch. This is what I did to make a clutch pedal My pedal setup I recommend send “Jono 1986” a PM because they are hard to come by up here in Cairns. (I am also in Cairns) All the best
