  2. never heard of a 4T don't want huge power gains, cause id have to up the brakes, diff ect. stock 3t would be good. extra bottom end power for puling up hills and shit
  3. Yeah one day, 13x7 and 13x8 hopefully. And yes its a giggle to drive, alot of torque in a small car, front wheels just turn to smoke in first 2 gears,
  4. So been a while since updated, basically been working flatout on it. Now has the following 1.8L Ported head Bigger cam electric dizzy 32/36 weber Extractors into a 2" system HD clutch and light flywheel Spax 2" lowered springs allround Bilstein (i think) shocks allround Genuine GTi Front and Swaybars Front lower Brace Some Nissan seats (so comfy) Sports wheel Found a Genuine parcelshelf and holders, now fitted with a granny rug over top ;) Replaced all window rubbers, slightly tinted windows. It sits a bit higher now which is ghey, but it handles 100X better. this is the second 1.8L thats been in her in 2 months. First one went it, drove for 15mins, washer and bolt holding weber filter plate down came loose. washer ended up down carby and smashed some valves :). Havnt got current one running yet, got timing problems but its in and cranking :S And the Sticker Says it All :( :D
  5. So, have been driving it around for last 4-5 weeks, and my god. i have had no one engine problem since i rebuilt it. I do have noisy tappets, but CBF fixing them atm. And one shock in rear died. but bought 2 new ones. Got a new headunit in, 4 speakers, Sold the rear leaf pack and put stock stuff in., sadly enough my "2 inch lower" reset leaves are higher then the stock ones i put in, go figure :S Have done 1200kays on engine and it feels strong as, don't have any plans for her at this time, maybe start on body work, rims, lower, and I'm leaning towards a T motor swap later on. but thats ages away. anywho, some pics as of a few weeks ago, shes a bitch lol.,
  6. then the grannies will like you even more!!! hehe
  7. mine fits over the rear seat in the 55, but its too big so it fits over parcelshelf, and half the bottom of back seat lol. um think i i folded it in half and a bit more again, its all bunched up at back of seat, and around edges. i love it, suits the Golf more then the rolla, so thats why its in there
  8. hahah yeah mines about that big, ive got mine folded over a couple times to sit on parcel shelf... the grannies love it :S
  9. yes it is, was my daily but have since added Stiffer springs and shocks swaybars 1.8L with some work, extractors and 2" exhaust Better seats sports wheel Sorta gone past the everyday comfort with a 12 month old child in rear :S. So the 55 has taken daily duties (god its slow :) )
  10. As it sits as of yesty, gotta sort timing out and she should be going again :) :S
  11. New Sticker for the Mk1.... lolz

  13. RA23/28, RA40, RT132/XT130 (all the same part) 300mm KE30, KE55 etc 300mm AE86, TE72, KE70, AE71 290mm
  14. i can say for sure you don't need RA40 tierods to fit RA40 struts in. if your going longer LCA's, i recommend getting KE30 tie rod tubes, and RA40 tierods. you will get more then enough adjustment. you wont have enough "safe" adjustment in stock tierods to accommodate the extra track. KE70 tops, the rest RA40, use RA40 steering arm, also the RA40 LCA is same as the KE30 which is the same as the XT130. SO if you go the whole RA40 setup with LCA's from the 55 then drop it in.

  16. Pretty sure Slo's KE30 is defected, and off the road. last i read it was getting a big engine going in for skidds. so ride height is no problem if its for skidds. Blocks are crap to a extent. 4" is stupid!! . the amount of leaf twist and roll you would get would be nuts, and axle tramp. As others have said, go 2" 3" at the most. get good short shocks. but 3" up front will serverly reduce the amount of travel you will have. recommended getting struts shortened, short strut insert and go coilovers if you really want to be low and handle half good
  17. Damn thats some bad luck. I replaced my first ever headgasket about 6 weeks ago. and car is still going strong. Quick question, should i recheck the torque of the head bolts? ive done about 500kays since head was skimmed and gasket done.

  25. Its the top part of engine yes. sits on top of the head and stops oil from spraying all over your engine bay, and also stop crap getting in your engine.
