  1. Anyone have a Towbar to suit a 30/55? Only needs to tow a box trailer. starting to clean out my yard/shed so trailer be handy. Lemme know what ya have, not looking to pay much obviously, i think i chucked 1-2 over the years :)
  2. don't even have to lift the engine out of bay i don't think, just undo engine mounts, lift it up enough to get clearence. lower sump down, clean both surfaces, slide new gasket in and bolt on, drop engine back in  But yeah, do it properly, and it should last another few years atleast :)
  3. So mate has gone a different direction, and this car will now be up for sale soon. Will be running Rebuilt 18RG on twins, extractors and New exhaust. Accelerator Cable conversion has been ordered and car should be going in a week |blink|. XT130 struts with the Hilux/pug conversion on way, coilover kit sitting on desk. Will get some pics and a vid up when she is running

  8. Not unless the car came factory with them. I know some Celica's around the world came with fender mirrors, so you can use that as your defence :) and man thats clean, so jealous

So if anyone has any Idea's on where to go, what to do ect feel free to jump in.... apart from you Casey, you led us on a nasty rocky road last time:P Speaking of, that place was good, maybe there again? BBQ ect ect. Anywho, get chatting and see when most people are free :D
  16. ah, miss read :D either way, i think id rather strip block and send that and head in to get cleaned properly.
  17. no worries and spirit, yeah ive always called em tie rod tubes. heard a few people call em crush tubes but i thought that was something to do with steering column.
  18. of course it is Si, he just gained 10 points for his drift and leveled up to a Level 5 Wanker
  19. Love the rims, got more info on them?
  20. Sounds good, good luck on it, and let us know if ya need anymore help. Remember new Headgasket, and get a one piece Extractor gasket for the manifolds. they seal nicely . and cheap too. $12 i think last one was
  21. all i did was take stock KE70 tierods off, if i remember correctly the KE70 ones are not adjustable at tierod end end, only towards the rack. Grab 2 KE30/55 tierod tubes (or crash tubes as some call em) and some RA40 Tie Rod ends. screw ends into tubes, then tubes onto rack, bolt tierods to steering arms, get a wheel alignment, do skidds  BTW, only do above if you put longer LCA's in, as i mentioned before. you wont have enough "safe" adjustment from the stock items. And also, RA40 tierod ends should be same as KE30/55.
  22. No you don't undo the headbolts in right order and pull head off. when you put the head back on make sure you got all the push rods in block and waiting, and lower head on making sure you get rods in propperly. TIP, loosen up the adjusters on rocker arms first, then set valve clearance afterwards Good Luck
  23. do your usual tune up on it first. Oil plugs check mixture screw. pretty sure as the engine starts to "run in" you need to re adjust it all. maybe try that then see how it is? if its a little bit of smoke on start up and non when you accelerate or drive, then should be good  Mine smokes a tiny bit on start up, 10 seconds later nothing.
  24. Surely its only 6BTDC on a stock 4k. oh, and drop clutch in 4th? awesome advice coming from someone who holds up cars with springs and batteries..... and surely the solenoid on the stock carby is a idle one? disconnect the wire and the car stops ideling. unless it also stops "dieseling" then awesome
