update time. Today i managed to score some roof racks and rear bar for a good price! Installed the ke30 bar on the rear but relocated the mounting brackets so that the bar was 5mm of the car body instead or having the large lip. Added a nice granny rug to the rear parcel tray as well. pics pics pics.

The police nationwide are cracking down on unsafe car's. one model of car (ke70) is / has been mass modified by young drivers as an unsafe vehicle to the point of no end. This is not an unjustified operation the police are running, it's for the public's safety on the road.

Just a few pics from a night out. will get a few 'whole' car pics up soon. Just like to shout out to all rollaclub members that have stoped me on the street and had a chat!

Not too much no :(, bogged up the welds and sanded back, then gave it a lick of primer then white. I'm not to happy with the efforts so i think ill pop a ke30 bar on it. Started a new job recently so most of my time has been going towards that. but when the $$ flows through ill be looking for a few improvements eg. extractors and a 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 exhaust. I'll give her a service next week, and treat a rust spot. Although she does get thrashed i wash her religiously every Saturday morning and give her a once over with the fluids :) This is how she rolls minus rear bar and blinds on any given day:

Up for sure. Camping out of that thing would be awesome too.

A Harsh compound cut and polish should get it off. (providing paint is not layered on) Also if you're low on funds try petrol as a thinner, just make sure you only rub back small area's at once, and wash off thoroughly as it will give the paint beneath the dull look. As far as I'm concerned your not wasting your time. You're "learning through your actions" keep it up.

I decided to remove the rear bar today and start the shaving process. the dirty kicker pipe also went along with it :blinks: just a few progress shots till tomorrow.

it's close to 4L isn't it? are you dropping the old oil before you add the additive? for $30 od bucks it's not going to break the bank, and your engine will appreciate you :blinks:

Chillin replied to redae71's topic in Automotive Discussion
Ouch! so assuming he is paying 20 grand all up for the repairs. he will be spending close to 50k on a xr5! EDIT: didn't read properly. -

Hey mate, nice to see another 55 getting some love, I found with the 15's, don't go over a 205/65r with the tyres as it will scrub out on the spring housing. and depending on the offset the rear may scrub on the inside body under hard cornering. I'm running 20mm spacers on my 15's in the front to allow the Tyre and rim combo to fit. If you have any queries about this don't hesitate on swinging me a pm, or have a ganda at my thread. Cheers Hayden

Back once again with a few updates. snaped both eylets of my rear shocks about two weeks back, so i returned to stock setup. wacked on some 20mm spacers on the front and got another pair of 15's for the front. -replaced fuel lines in engine bay -resprayed radiator, radiator support, grill, old school blind thingo's and air intake -installed alarm -carpeted the boot -gave her a good polish :hmm: here are a few pics: will get a few with the new wheels on soon.
