  4. Thanks for that ill check it out,haven't got a spare K-T bellhousing have ya. I'm running 159 Kw and 285 Nm of torque at the moment so it needs to be a good one.
  5. MAte i don't remember ever seeing a resisitor coil on a 69 KE10,but if you needed to add one to an AFTERMARKET coil then it would have to be an external job on the coil. The coil you want to use WILL tell you whether or not to use a resistor.

  11. Yeah man i did but I'm just lookin for some feedback,maybe once every couple of weeks it gos ona street drive,already got organic EXEDY and it can't handle 300Nm of torque.
  12. Ok I'm looking for real world experience in hardcore clutches for K series gearboxes . I am needing to upgrade mine from a EXEDY top notch one toa real KICKASS thing so any ideas would be goo,remember i do drive this on the street occasionally. Cheers

  16. Use either of those heads and you WILL need some sort of dished piston, not sure how hard they are to get .
  17. A dished piston 4K,??? A 3K bigport head without the chamber,???? MAybe the 3K head has been machined a lot to bring the comp up on a 3K but it would be unusual to see a 3K bigport head without a chamber as you put it.If you put the two together i would ASSUME that t5he comp RATIO would be around 9:1 dependimng on how big the dishes are in the pistons.

Yeah once i change the clutch to a button or one with a heap more centrifugal weight and i can run the car in real race trim ie: high boost then it will pull some bigger gears and or bigger tyres. So now you have it tuned it should be able to pull the bigger wheels ey. :D How did it go ???????/
  20. But isn't the only difference there the ext housing length and not the shifter position.
  21. As far as i am aware if you change the ext housing to one that has a different shifter location then NO the linkages will not line up.
  22. Yeah its hitting the limiter before i hit the line,just not enough time to hit 5th gear. First is ok but it does fry the tyres a bit 2.3 60' times. I was hoping to maybe use some bigger tyres .
  23. OK i am looking to run a bigger MPH next time i run at the drags cause at the moment i have hit a brick wall at 103 because the gearing is wrong for the given RPM limit. SO What i am running is 205/60 R13" tyres K50 gearbox in fourth 1/1 ratio and 4.11 diff ratio which equals 103 MPH at 7000 RPM. SO Even if i run the same tyres ,same rev limit BUT 3.9 diff ratio that will only improve the MPH by 5% which equals 108 MPH The car CANNOT go any faster MPH wise with said gearing unless i raise the rev limiter REGARDLESS of how much power it makes cause it is till turning the SAME RPM even if it is making more power CORRECT???. SO To run a higher MPH then i would need to run SAY 3.65 diff ratio or maybe a 14" 60 series tyre RIGHT. Am i right here or am i way of the mark. Food for thought. Matt
  24. Now ive heard that maybe KE70 came with jap diff's and 3.9 ratios, camn anyone shed some more light on this for me or have any other options to run 3.9's I really don't want to do the whole Hilux diff bit but if thats what is required so be it. Matt
