I think wide steel rims with the chrome smoothie hubcaps, rear venetians... some sort of " plumbing " or " handy man " old school sign writing and black a few of the lights out and this thing will be unreal. Also... get it on the invisible bump stops hahaha! What have you done the the guard, I can see some sort of a crease up top.. ;)

Yeah, It's been powdercoated.. I've been thinking about polishing the 'Toyota' + ' 1600' but... I think it might chip and crack the sides since its powdercoated... it looks good enough anyway I suppose.. Need to stop worrying about the little details hahaha!

I really didn't want the 4k from the start, Just put it in to drive around... then up popped a 2TG motor haha! This car is actually on hold for a little while, need to sort a few things out and get my head around it so I've started the original KE10B just to keep me busy haha!

Well I got the car running with the 4k motor, till I decided It wasn't fast enough within a few seconds of driving it. So out goes the 4k and in goes a new motor. 2TG Pow-ah Also started building another KE10B... Its dead original. Paints pealed in a few spots around the car and one tiny rust bubble has appeared on the drivers door, but I've since tig welded it up and its getting finished this weekend.. hopefully have it in the spraybooth for a full respray within the next 2-3 weeks. This ones getting a 5k/4spd motor... purely for weekends. If anybody is interested, I actually have another KE10.. 4k/toyoglide in decent condition, although has some more rust. PM me if you are serious about it.

What makes you come to the conclusion that the bonnet and guards are beyond repair. The bonnets on just about every KE1X crack at the hinge from the hinges ceasing and some rust out on the front lip. Guards rust out at the bottom but are defiantly fixable. Looks good so far, get some more pictures happening though :)

You can use a ke70 auto if you want... would be a lot easier finding a 2 speed Toyoglide from a 69 corolla or just teach her to drive manual :) I found its easier to teach them to drive manual than putting auto's in as they are dead as door nails with autos in them :dance:

I have a 4 Speed Manual box from a KE10 and It doesn't fit. Are you saying an Automatic KE10 Yoke fits into the KE55/70 5 Speed Box?

You can run a ke70/55 5 speed gearbox in a KE10. You do not need to shorten the tailshaft, although you do need to get a ke30 Yoke and swap it onto the KE10 tail shaft. This is what I'm doing at the moment, Just haven't bothered to find a KE30 Yoke. I got this information from Toymods. Regards.

Ke20 cross member bolts in, you need to find a way of putting the castor rod set up from the ke20 to the ke10. I'm not sure how this is done. I would say just mix and match some engine mounts on the stock ke10 cross member, take the leaf spring out and put some coil overs on with a strut brace and a sway bar. Will improve the handling a lot. Put an ae71 rack onto the ke10 cross member. Probably have to shorten it as Sam has mentioned.

I believe the ke16 has been cubed.

Recaro Seats Side shot of the car. Most will disprove of the fender mirrors but I like them. But I'm not going to drill holes in my guards until i'm 100% sure I want them hahaha :blush:

Just drove across Sydney to pick up some Recaro seats. They will be done like this Match that original red interior but with retro racer recaro front seats hahaha.

If you were desperate, You could channel the rubber abit deeper so the ke10 screen fits deeper into the rubber on a ke15. Sounds good in theory, Not sure if it would work as the rubber might be too thin. Yeah it is pretty sweet having a better car then your teachers, still not sure why I got a ke10 though. It is a wicked car, just didn't think I'd actually get something old school.. was looking at bmw's for a long time and reno's and fiats and just anything random haha. Nearly bought a Fiat 500 :laff:

With my ke10 I plan on running a ke20 cross member, Custom LCA's, Ae86 balljoints with an ae86 rack and pinion. It will have custom 'tubes' .. not sure what they are called but they thread onto the ballpoint and have a clamp over them and also this allows me to run ae86 coil overs if I wish ( although I will probably end up doing the same thing you have with ottomotto coil overs ) Is your diff a R31 housing, Pintara gearset with custom axles? If you don't mind can you PM me the details where you got the diff shortened as I need to get some axles made up. I've got an R31 housing, Pintara gearset and a P76 LSD with the disc brakes aswell. Just need to shorten it. :cool:

Really just waiting for parts now. I was going to put it on the trailer and get an exhaust made up but I should get the suspension and tailshaft sorted first. I'm back at school so it might slow down abit but then again I think my Dad's going to finish it off pretty fast as my mum wrote her car off and I think his thinking he might steal my Corolla and ride his motorbike and not buy another car for a while as I've got a few months till I can get my P's anyway.

When I was searching for a new screen, I rang a small local windscreen place and a few days later the lady got back to me saying their supplier will be doing a batch of ke1x screens for NSW. I think she means, they will be doing 5 of each screens of all ke1x models.

Hi, Nah not for a while. I have one, just the chromes gone off. It will get rechromed with all the chrome once I get the car going and dialed in. Yeah ke15 screens are abit shorter I think.

Managed to get a pretty good second hand windscreen. I think there will be a batch of screens being made soon, I'll buy a nice new scratchless one then.

Got the bar on, Had to make some brackets up Needs to be rechromed, I'll do that stuff later. Took the handbrake + cables + all the brackes that attach to the underside of the car as for some strange reason mine where missing :rolls: A picture showing my Penrith Ghetto style Car hoist haha! Good news aswell, Parts to be picked up tomorrow and also just bought a set of Recaro's for it :) Pictures of the goodies tomorrow if I get them :y:
